Apple's Newsstand is Building Momentum

We're rapidly seeing the migration of magazines, newspapers, and books to portable media, with many top publications now available on iOS devices. And excellent new ones such as The Daily becoming available. Apple will foster this trend with its new Newsstand app that will come with iOS 5. Announced in June, the app will offer an iBooks-like bookshelf interface for collecting together your publications and subscriptions. As new issues come out, they will automatically be added to your bookshelf. Now Adobe, which creates Digital Publishing Suite, which is  used by over 600 publications to create electronic editions, has announced that their software will offer support for Newsstand, making it easy for these publications to make their content available for iOS devices.
