More evidence for iPad 3 in March

DigiTimes can always be relied upon for rumors, though they have a mixed record regarding whether those rumors end up being true. Their sources of information are Apple's suppliers in Asia. And those sources are now saying that we can except the iPad 3 around March or so. The component manufacturers say that they're preparing to reduce production of iPad 2 components and are now delivering components for the iPad 3. You can also read more on AppleInsider. This time frame would make sense, given that the original iPad was released in April and the iPad 2 in March a year later.

According to DigiTimes, Apple is expected to sell 40 million iPads in 2011. Apple is expected to build nearly 10 million iPad 3 units in the first quarter of 2012. Again, we can probably expect a higher resolution screen, and likely Siri. Frankly, I hope that someday they also put a phone in the iPad. I always have mine with me, and it would be so convenient to be able to make and receive calls on it.

Whatever the features, I'll likely get one. I'm addicted to my iPad, and am eager to have the latest and greatest. I can't wait until March.
