iPhone 5, iPad mini reported to debut September 12 and be released on September 21

The website iMore reported earlier today that the iPhone 5, iPad Mini, and iPod Nano will be presented at an event on September 12 and that the iPhone 5 will be available for purchase on September 21. iMore says the information comes from a source that previously gave them accurate information about earlier product launches. While the source didn't say anything about an iPod touch, iMore speculates that a new version will likely also be announced.

The rumors and leaks continue to suggest an iPhone with a 4-inch display and 16:9 aspect ratio, and an iPad mini with a 7.85-inch display that will basically be a scaled down version of the current iPad. The iPhone is expected to have LTE for high-speed data, and a new mini-dock connector on the bottom will replace the current connector.

Leaked images of the new iPhone are continuing to appear online, including a video that shows the front and back.

[Update. This post initially mistakenly said that all three devices would be available on September 21. iMore's rumor in fact says that the iPhone will be available on that date, but there's no information on when the other devices will be available.]
