iPad mini expected to be narrower, thinner, lighter, and cheaper, but only about a third smaller

Of course it's all speculation at this point, but apparently a number of reliable sources have indicated there will be an iPad mini in our future. And iMore has reported that it will be announced along with the new iPhone on September 12. iMore has also done a recent analysis of what we might expect in regard to the size of the iPad mini. They say it won't be that much smaller, and that it should retain the experience of the larger iPad screen of the current iPad. At 7.85 inches, it will be about two-thirds the size of the current iPad. But iMore says that it will be narrower, thinner, and lighter. In short, a lot easier to tote and to hold for extended periods. And they expect it to be in the $200-250 price range.
