Apple's fight with Google — update: Steve Jobs seen chatting with CEO Schmidt

For a number of years Google and Apple were the best of buddies, with Google CEO Eric Schmidt even being on Apple's board of directors. That was so yesterday. Schmidt has resigned, and in early March Apple sued Google partner HTC because it says the devices it makes that run Google's Android software are a violation of its patents. And in criticizing Google earlier this year, Jobs used some pretty salty language, saying that Google's informal motto of "Don't be evil" was "b--- s---." So it was a bit of a surprise that blogs were buzzing late last week that Jobs and Schmidt were seen chatting and having coffee together
