RotoPop: Putting a Blitz On Fantasy Gaming

Rating: 3.5 of 5

Have you ever played fantasy football and felt like you were limited in your head-to-head matchups at times? Or thought to yourself if only you had picked the player who's lighting up the boards and costing you a win? Well, RotoPop, a new fantasy football app for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad aims to provide a fun experience that will alleviate all of those anxieties.

RotoPop is unique in that you aren't locked into a full fantasy football season. If you're not into the tedious parts of drafting or don't have time to keep up with each and every game in a given week, this might just pull you in. The basic premise of the app is, you challenge someone to a game using different players from the entire NFL roster. And at halftime, if some players on your team aren't up to snuff? You can take advantage of all team rosters being unlocked again at that point to add players who'll get you more points.

RotoPop is quick and easy to get into. The design is okay, not too flashy but a little too middle of the road. The ability to drop or pick players in the middle of a game is definitely the main draw; it's something that fantasy football leagues may not have thought of fully as a working concept. With this app RotoPop has managed to give fantasy sports a blitz in a neat way.
