My husband, son and I all installed the Mover app (Infinite Labs v. 1.0.2) yesterday so we could try it out. It was fast to install and easy to send a photo. And it's FREE!
To send a photo or a contact, all those participating must have the app open and be using the same Wi-Fi network. You simply select what you want to send, hold your finger down on it, and swipe the screen in the direction of the person's name to whom you want to send it. It's not Bluetooth. You don't have to be real close to each other - just on the same WiFi.
Even with three names on it, it was easy to direct the item to the one I wanted. Each name shows up on the side of the screen. I don't know what would happen if you had more than four. Anyone know?
Once the item is received, it saves to your iPhone automatically; photos to your Photos and contact information to your Contacts.
I will definitely use this app with my friends who have iPhones to share our photos and contacts. It's easy and fun!
My son, however, said he'd rather use Quip-Send Photo (Addy Mobile, Inc.). I don't have that app, so I can't tell you much about it. However, I do know that it sends photos by text messaging. The obvious advantage is that you don't have to be on the same Wi-Fi. But for me, that takes all the fun out of it!
