Civil War Students and History Buffs - Check this out!

Civil War America’s Epic Struggle is for students, casual historians and serious history buffs. It presents an overview, the causes, major battles (alphabetically and chronologically) and timelines, as well as information about railroads, medical care, economics, and other topics related to the Civil War.

Included are more than 1,000 photos, over an hour of multimedia presentations, and more than 100 maps, as well as text articles with first-hand accounts and biographies of the major players.

Multimedia presentations are audio voiceovers and images in a slide show with an occasional sound effect (train whistle) and song (piano rendition of Dixie Land). The images are mostly black and white photographs or sketches from the period.

Maps include images of original maps of the period as well as campaign maps.
