The first thesaurus developed by writers for writers. The Oxford American Writer’s Thesaurus contains 300,000 synonyms and 10,000 antonyms, as well as nearly 200 word banks, which are collections of nouns to add detail to your writing. I love these! Instead of writing the word car, I can choose from one of the more descriptive terms suggested such as buggy, compact, dragster, hot rod, minivan, ragtop, stretch limo, taxi or two-door.
Word spectrums show where your word falls in between two polar opposites such as happy and sad, providing dozens of word choices that will make your writing sizzle!
No wireless connection is required to use the app. Although it’s priced at $24.99, the hardback edition costs $40, and it’s not near as easy to use or to carry!
