O say can you Say What You See?

I really wanted to finish this latest game before I wrote my review, but at this pace, it may be next Christmas before that happens.  I pride myself in my movie trivia knowledge, something that can make me both interesting and annoying at parties.  But "Say What You See" has been a challenge!

The developers (Big Ideas) take a novel approach to gameplay.  They have commissioned original works of art that displays clues for movie titles for different categories including 80's Movies, Books 2 Film, and Scary Movies.  For example, 80's Movies has an image of flames surrounding an old Roman vehicle, i.e. "Chariots of Fire".  They offer a mix of free canvases added monthly, and in-app purchases for even more puzzles.

The artistry adds a unique touch!  You can even listen to artist's commentary while you play!  The tapestry is a great compilation of some great (and not-so-great) movies and as I have learned, can keep you entertained for hours... maybe days!  You could zoom the iPhone version to 2X if you have an iPad, but you may want the iPad HD version to maximize screen real estate.

I have solved 16 of the 50 movies and it's not looking good.  But maybe I'll have better luck on my 6 hour flight to Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show!  But since I'm a movie buff, it just might depend on the in-flight movie!
