New York, N.Y. — Feb. 12 — Pinch, a new social application that turns friends into matchmakers, announces the release of their iPhone app. Instead of relying on impersonal algorithms, Pinch users are matched in a stress-free way, and with the blessing of a matchmaking friend who knows both parties. Once two people are matched, an exciting (but harmless) game of truth or dare ensues, where the couple gets to know each other, eventually unlocking chat functionality.
Pinch for Singles
According to Statista, the average Facebook user has 303 friends. Pinch allows Singles to browse friends of friends and take advantage of the network effect in a fun, safe environment. Once a potential match is found, a user asks his Facebook friend for a warm introduction, or “Pinch.”
