Find your iPhone in the dark with the Alter Ego glow in the dark case from M-Edge #CES

image
Have you ever fumbled for your iPhone in the dark? The Alter Ego case from M-Edge is not only brightly colored, but it is made from glow in the dark material that 'recharges' when exposed to light. It's a smart idea that should be standard in more cases.

The Alter Ego has a cool geometric design that takes its styling cues directly from Apple and the opening for the rear facing camera lens and flash.

What Your iPhone Case Says About You

image

Have you looked for an iPhone case lately, iPhone Life-ers? The choices are overwhelming. Just think of the poor new iPhone owner realizing that their new toy is gonna get scratched if they don’t get something to protect it, and they go online to find a case for it and find eight million mind-boggling choices.

You were there once. You know what I’m talking about.

Just like me, you probably sat there scratching your head wondering what the perfect case would be. What would make you happy and proud to hold in your hand? What’s good enough to protect your precious piece of technology?

Wear you iPod nano on your wrist with iWatchz #CES

image
Ever since the latest iteration of the iPod nano was introduced, people have been trying to wear their nano as a wristwatch. Computer accessory vendors have jumped on the bandwagon, often offering little more than a Velcro wristband and calling it a watch case.

Fortunately, iWatchz is a line of accessories designed by a comapny that is first and foremost a watchband company, and they have used that skill and design expertise to make a high quality suite of wristwatch bands for the iPod nano.

The most flexible iPad case is the iPadFlex from UZBL #MacWorld

image

When I saw the iPadFlex from UZBL (as in usable) at MacWorld, I wasn't sure what to make of it. Is it an iPad case, a stand, a handle, a tripod, a suction mount, or a carrying strap? The answer is, all of the above. You can add and subtract elements to make your iPadFlex perform exactly as you wish!

Forget AirPlay. Redirect your music using the Wave Cradle #MacWorld

image
The Wave Cradle fixes an oversight Apple has yet to address in their iPhones, namely the speaker points straight down, where your ears are not likely to be. I can't count how many times I find myself holding the phone flat so I can better hear someone on the speakerphone! I suppose Apple didn't want to ruin the iPhone's design lines by having a speaker grid on the front of the iPhone. But the result is complaints about low volume or battery drain from using higher volume than should be necessary.

Cover that keyboard with KB Covers #MacWorld

image
My family and I use the Apple Bluetooth wireless keyboard, both with our iPad and Mac mini, and it takes a beating. There are fingerprints, smudges, etc. I've been meaning to clean it, but when I saw KB Covers at MacWorld, I realized I could just cover it up! So I bought the rubber film that covers up the entire keyboard and adds a few advantages.

We jammin with House of Marley headphones #CES

image
At a certain point, probably around $100, any set of headphones is going to be just fine for the majority of listeners. So at that point, it comes down to quality, comfort, style, colors, and branding. And if the House of Marley, founded by the legendary Bob Marley's family, has anything to say about it, a manufacturer's ecological footprint and philanthropic efforts should also be considered.

Stand While You Surf Net/Work.... Kangaroo Junior Review

image

Many professionals will agree sitting in a stationary position all day can be hard on your body.  Many medical problems can stem from sitting in a static position all day.  A simple solution to this problem is body movement, which is the way Mother Nature intended.

Catch your tablet by the tail with Octa #CES #MacWorld

image

Wen you first see their product, you will think they made a typo with their company name and instead of Octa, they should be called Orca. But it's no mistake.  Octa's TabletTail is a vacuum-based suction mount that sticks to your flat backed tablet, ideally an iPad 2, and can give it a tail. The tail makes it easy to both grip the tablet and can be used as a stand to prop the device up.

Get a grip on your iPad with Wrapsol's non-slip grip pad and it's made in the USA #CES

image
Not everyone wants to keep their iPad or similar tablet in a case. The iPad 2 is wonderfully thin and to put it in a case is almost sacrilegious. Apple's Smart Cover is a nice enhancement but it doesn't always help you keep a good grip on the iPad. In fact, some users have found out the hard way that the iPad 2 can fall to the ground if you grab it by the Smart Cover!
