For the last few weeks I have been using the iHealth Blood Pressure Dock. This is the first product of this type that I have actually used so I don’t have any comparison products to judge it against. But I can say its one of the easiest things to use right out of the box (My pics are at the end of the review)
The kit comes with the dock, instructions, power USB cable for dock, and your choice (out of two sizes) of arm cuff. The free app required needs a minimum of iOS 3.0 or greater (There was an app update this month). The dock itself contains a rechargeable battery that powers the blood pressure system / cuff.
Sena makes some great leather cases for iPads, and I've written about them in the past, so I was excited to see their latest iPhone offering. The Creativo case doesn't disappoint. Naturally, as with all Sena cases, the leather is high quality, but at under $40, it's still affordable.
Forget 3D movies and television, the real future is 3D printing! It's not cheap, yet, but the folks at Sculpteo are trying to pioneer a new way to create truly personalized items from ceramic and other materials.
Naturally, they have an app for that, and it supports the iPad as well. It lets you choose from an existing collection of designer-created 3D printable objects or create a personalized item like a mug with your child's silhouette built-in or an iPhone case with your custom message. I'm tempted to say the custom images or text are embossed, but that's technically inaccurate. The item is crafted in 3D with your edits. You have to see it to understand, and you can download the app for free and play with it.
Sometimes throughout history, there have been significant inventions or discoveries that have changed the course of history such as the bow and arrow, the wheel, and beer. Sometimes they are so simple you hit yourself on the forehead and say, "Why didn't I think of that?"
Well, I'm here to tell you that I discovered an invention that is so obvious, so simple, and yet so earth shaking that I had to say to myself, "Why didn't I think of that?"
It's the Cord Cruncher. I'm sure we've all been beyond frustration trying to untangle ear bud cords. No matter how carefully we may store them, they inevitably get all balled up in an inextricable mess. I've thrown away more than one spider web of interlocked cords.
The Mobile Grip Mini Fold-up Tripod from Arkon is a neat accessory to carry with you, especially if you use the camera function on your device a lot. This is a universal design so it should fit most smartphones, as well as an iPod Touch and similar devices that sport a camera. With the exception of the adjusting screws, the kit is all plastic which is one of the reasons it's so light. Check out the video from Arkon below for actual use of the stand.
The stand consists of three pieces. The tripod mount, mobile grip adaptor, and mobile grip holder.
