Palatine, Illinois - Bryan Luby has released TuneTangler 1.1 with an updated user interface enhanced for the iPhone 5 and iPod touch (5th Generation). TuneTangler now displays extra metadata for genre, play count, and star rating for the currently playing song. The increased screen size also allows for the time slider control to be persistent. TuneTangler 1.1 also adds an updated graphics and color scheme.
TuneTangler is a music player app for people who like to shuffle by album. Upon launch, the app will automatically create a shuffled playback queue from the user's iTunes music library that keeps songs properly grouped according to album order. The user can also navigate between albums with a swipe gesture, or play an unheard random album by pressing the shuffle button.
"The increased screen size of the iPhone 5 has presented some unique design challenges for existing apps," says Bryan Luby, designer and developer of TuneTangler. "There was a temptation to add extra buttons or other unnecessary functionality, but instead, I decided to show more information that a music listener would care about. This is also in alignment with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines."
Other Notable Features of TuneTangler:
* Filter out singles from shuffling
* VoiceOver accessibility support
* Playback state restoration remembers previous position between launches
* Share the currently playing album status on Facebook, Twitter, Email, or Messages
* iPhone 3GS/4/4S/5, iPod touch (3rd/4th/5th generation), and iPad
