“Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide, causing 7.6 million deaths in 2008, although it is estimated that a third of theses deaths could have been avoidable with greater prevention, early detection and existing treatments.” - This is the introduction to the world cancer day 2013, which takes place on February 4th.
