Apple includes an AutoFill feature in all iOS devices that uses information from Contacts and remembers usernames and passwords. Here's how to turn it on and use it:

Turn on AutoFill:

1. Open Settings and tap on Safari >AutoFill.

2. Slide the Use Contact Info switch to the ON position. This tells your device to fetch data from your own entry in your Contacts list. For example, if there's a form requiring your name, AutoFill will enter your name.

3. Slide the Names and Passwords switch to the ON position. This causes AutoFill to remember logins and passwords you enter and insert them automatically when you return to a Web page that requires them.

Use AutoFill:

1. Open Safari and navigate to a Web page where you need to fill out a form.

2. Tap on the entry field. When the keyboard comes up, you will see a new button called "AutoFill" along the top navigation area of the keyboard (see image).

3. When you come to an online form, tap on the AutoFill button, and it will type in as much information as it can.

Protect your online data:

Iimagef you store a lot of usernames and passwords on your device, and it falls into the wrong hands, someone else may be able to log in with your passwords and have access to all of your personal data. If you're concerned about this, don't answer Yes when you're asked if you want them saved. Your other options are Never for this Site and Not Now. It takes a little longer to enter this information by hand, but your data is safer.

Save passwords and usernames

As mentioned, AutoFill can save you time when entering usernames and passwords. Once you turn on the Names and Passwords feature as described above, AutoFill will ask you if you want to save them the next time you enter them. From that point on, every time you revisit that site and need to log in, AutoFill enters them into the appropriate fields automatically.

Save username and passwords for quicker entry.
