71799 How do I see where a link is going to take me? Rich Hall Alex Cequea iPhone Life 1528-5456 2011-03-21 May-June 2011 3 3 124 Internet Browsing the Web iPad iPhone iPod Touch Web

imageWhile browsing the Web, you'll occasionally see links like, "You're today's lucky winner!" or "Find out more about Home Mortgages." You can tap on the link and see where it takes you, or you can look at the Web address associated with the link first and see if you want to even bother with it. Here's how you do it:

1. Tap and hold down the link and wait for the pop-up menu to appear.

2. Instead of tapping on one of the options, look at the top of the menu above the Open button. It will show you the full Web address associated with the link.

3. If you don't want to go to the link, tap on Cancel (iPhone/iPod touch users) or tap anywhere else on the Web page (iPad users).

4. To proceed to the link, tap on Open or Open in New Page.

Show the Web address associated with a link by tapping and holding down the link.
