Free City Story App Released!

image

Described as a cross between SimCIty and Farmville, this simulation game (called City Story) is currently at the price of FREE in the app store, so go grab it! With the added wrinkle that you can also invite Facebook pals to join you as neighbors in the game (whatever that means), might be interesting. Requires a network connection to play. When I get some time, will try to swing back and do a review. App store link above...enjoy!

The most flexible powerhouse of an adapter base I have used to date, the award-winning IDAPT i4 universal desktop charger will keep your gadgets powered up, and looks good doing it. This is one gadget that even my wife likes so much, it currently gets to reside on the kitchen counter! Nuff said...but you still might want to read the rest of the review.

Mophie Juice Pack Reserve... Portable Charging Goodness!

image

There are tons of great charging gadgets out there (see my brief RichardSolo review here and a more in-depth one by Louis here), but the Mophie juice pack line of products for iPhone/iPod give a lot of charging bang for the buck. If you are interested in keeping your iPhone or iPod topped up with smart battery technology, then you might want to give the reserve a try.

iStart Spanish Review

image

As a dabbler of a few languages, I admit that I am not a natural learner. My English is not that good, and it's my native tongue! Anyhoo, I took Spanish in high school, but never could quite get the hang of the tricky rolling r sounds, the masculine and feminine forms, etc. With iStart Spanish on my iPod, I may finally be able to make some progress, and understand some of my wife's favorite TV shows.

Should You Upgrade Your iPod touch 2G?

image

You might wonder why owners of the 2nd Gen iPod would bother upgrading it to iOS 4.0. I mean considering it can't multi-task, bluetooth connect to a keyboard, or allow you to change the plain black default background, what's the point? You might be wrong to wonder that though, especially if you also happen to be an owner (and have not yet upgraded). There are some very compelling reasons for grabbing the free iOS 4 update (and some risks). Allow me to walk you through the process, and point out some of the important advantages (and the problems).

Tilt To Live Update Adds Frostbite Mode!

Fast becoming one of my all-time favs and potentially an inductee in the years Best Stuff guide, One Man Left studios create yet another tormenting twister of a challenge with the latest TTL update (see me initial review here).

Shining Force Now on App Store!

image

SEGA has released another great game of yore for iOS (see my Sonic review here): The RPG title Shining Force from the Genesis platform. Currently enjoying a fat 4 and a half stars (but it is still new), you might check it out on the App Store your own self here! Planning a review when I get to it meself, so stay tuned!
