Mophie adds a beefy charger to their juice pack line (see my reserve review here) that will top up your iOS devices faster, and works with the iPad! The new powerstation brings the heat with 2.1 amps of output packed into a 3600 mAh battery, and looks like the big brother to the keychain-sized reserve. Read on for more PR details...

image

I'm a ListPro user from way back in the day (see my comprehensive Windows Mobile review on our sister blog here). Even posted up some of my own custom lists to the free exchange years ago (an MS VB Script Repository). You want to stay organized and be able to find stuff, ListPro is a good way to do it.

City Story Review

image

Social Networking is playing a major role in on-line gaming. Games that lack some kind of on-line tourney, championship, or leaderboard features with which you can post up and play with your Twitter or Facebook friends, are starting to seem old-fashioned. Another wrinkle is added with games that also use on-line currency to play. Currency that you buy with real money to help you advance. City Story is a sim/time management game that cheerfully introduces you and friends to the art and skill of town building...

News Tidbits

image

Lot's of app and product news this week, so how bout a leetle round-up... A United Airlines game that can earn you prizes and upgrades in the real world: New Grand Theft Auto released; a credit card swiper attachment; fabulous SOTI remote apps finally adding iPhone support, and a mail editor that supports full HTML markup.

Top Gun 2 Review

image

Top Gun 2 sports slick graphic upgrades and loses the "Danger Zone" warning grid of the original game. The guitar riffs in the background tune (from the original soundtrack), are shredded bliss for a shoot-em-up game like this. I just let it loop for awhile just to soak in the 80's nostalgia! The in-game music was not as good as the original, but still contains enough varied and flavorful high-octane guitar shredding to suit my taste. The flight physics are still not really much different than the first game (you just tilt the plane around the screen avoiding gunfire and missiles coming at you).

Gaming and App news Tidbits...

image

Lot's of new and updated apps and games to post up news items for so figured I would do a round-up again. The short list includes the seriously great LASW (see my review of iPhone version here) coming to iPad, Dodonpachi Resurrection 2-D Shooter, Grand Theft Auto also coming to iPad, a free version of a mail app called ibisMail, and an app from iStoryTime for easing your youngster into school!

iCrystal Dock... The Coolest Dock in Town!

image

Decent audio dock components (ones that don't cost a fortune, but produce a good sound) for iPod (only iPod...correction posted) are pretty common now, but finding one that looks totally cool doing it is always a bonus. This year, I checked out quite a few audio-related components for iPhone, and iPod (starting  back in January at CES). The iCrystal is one of my favorites in this category of dock for iPod. It plays music, it charges, and it looks totally awesome in the process...
