Should You Upgrade Your iPod touch 2G?

image

You might wonder why owners of the 2nd Gen iPod would bother upgrading it to iOS 4.0. I mean considering it can't multi-task, bluetooth connect to a keyboard, or allow you to change the plain black default background, what's the point? You might be wrong to wonder that though, especially if you also happen to be an owner (and have not yet upgraded). There are some very compelling reasons for grabbing the free iOS 4 update (and some risks). Allow me to walk you through the process, and point out some of the important advantages (and the problems).

Tilt To Live Update Adds Frostbite Mode!

Fast becoming one of my all-time favs and potentially an inductee in the years Best Stuff guide, One Man Left studios create yet another tormenting twister of a challenge with the latest TTL update (see me initial review here).

Win a Free Turbo Subs iTunes code…and my mini-review

image

Eric wrote a complete and excellent review on his blog, so I decided to simply add my own succinct endorsement, and host a giveaway for this cool time management game. I have to say when I first saw the game start up, I was a little skeptical. I wouldn't want to run a real sub shop, but playing at it is admittedly pretty fun. Read on for blog contest rules and my added impressions of the game.

TechCrunch Reviews WorldMate 1.5...a Traveller "must-have"!

image

TechCrunch and the folks at WorldMate recently sponsored a giveaway (sorry this is too late for our readers to get it on the action), and in the posted blog review, TC called it the "Swiss army knife" of travel apps. Anyhoo, I'll see if we can get a contest going here in the near future for the Gold version.
