Review: Speck Fitted Case for iPad

The Speck fitted case is a two piece hard shell case. The inside has a nice soft touch to protect your device. The outside has the hard casing, but the fabric adds it owns texture and style.

Review: GNS 5870 MFI GPS BT Receiver

image

Global Navigation Systems, (a.k.a. GNS) has created and sells a plug and play Bluetooth GPS receiver for IOS devices. It’s called the GNS 5870 MFI. (MFI stands for Made for iPhone). I’m not a stranger to testing out and using GPS systems but this is the first one I have used for my Apple product, so I am excited to work with it. Even though I have some knowledge of GPS, I am by no means an expert in this area. There are two things I look for though. One, a quick satellite lock, and two, it just needs to work.

There is no jail breaking required. I’m testing this out on my Wi-Fi only iPad. The Nav App I am using is Co-pilot.

Dual Releases XPS150-Bluetooth GPS Receiver

image

Dual recently released a Bluetooth GPS receiver for iOS devices called the XGPS150. I have to admit that it looks kind of neat. I sent their media contacts a request to test drive that puppy, so we will see if I get a response.

If you recall from a post a while back though, I was placed on the list for their original  iPod Touch GPS Receiver.

Review: Speck Candyshell and SeeThru iPad Cases

image

The Speck Candyshell and SeeThru cases are not new, but they are favorites for many. I wanted to see why. This review is kind of a two for one, as I thought these cases were very similar to each other, even though they had their own differences.

Review: SGP Stylus Pen Kuel H10 Series

image

SGP offers a stylus called the Kuel H10 Series. This is designed for the capacitive touch screen. The features listed below from their site give a lot of details on this product already, so I’m not going to just repeat them.

iPad Picture Frame Tip

Here is a neat and easy setting change that gives your regular picture frame slideshow a bit of a makeover. Select Settings, Picture Frame, and then Transition. It's most likely set at "Dissolve." Change that to "Origami." The next time you select the picture frame slideshow from the lock screen, you will instantly see the Origami effect, which looks pretty neat. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad
