One Life - One Inbox

It was rumour for a long time, but with the release of iOS4 it became a reality -  iPhone users now get the option of Unifying their E-Mails into a single Unified Inbox meaning you can now view all your e-mail from different mail accounts through one inbox. 

This is a great feature if you spend a lot of time in mail or switching between accounts, because no longer do you need to tap your way up the e-mail tree and back down again.



One Week On With iOS4 on iPhone 3G – How Have You Found it?

I installed iOS4 a week ago on my iPhone 3G and since then have been cycling through my iPhone 3G contacts daily to get their feedback.  So far, it’s been a non committal response, although the general consensus has been what a great opportunity to upgrade to iPhone 4!    

So what are we loving?

We love the folders, especially those of us who have several screens of applications.  It has added a level of organisation to the iPhone.   One of my colleagues put it quite eloquently – it makes you feel like your applications are living together as a family unit, rather than a bunch of flatmates squatting in a house they have no control over.

Your iPhone is a fantastic travel companion as it provides all the home comforts whilst you are away!   Not only do you take a mobile phone abroad with you, but also your music collection, access to your e-mail, your family photos and videos, connectivity to the Internet and your Social Network connectivity.

The iPhone supports the UMTS/HSPDA network frequencies of 850, 1900 and 2100 Mhz networks as well as the GSM/EDGE networks of 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 Mhz.  Most countries support these networks, so your iPhone should work fine.

Now You See It, Now You Don't - Secure Your iPhone!

 

The iPhone has been incredibly successful thanks to its simplicity, intuitiveness and good looks.   Although initially focused on the consumer market, it has quickly became a favourite of the corporate world who realised they could combine personal and business devices into one, simplifying their digital lifestyle whilst looking stylish as well!

The combination of lifestyle elements such as video (on the 3GS), photos, YouTube and applications such as Facebook, along with business applications, e-mail and search make the iPhone the perfect device for users both at home and work.

Simplicity however does not necessarily mean the iPhone is secure.  If you lose your device, not only will you be sick with disappointment, your personal information
