This Contact Manager is a Keeper

image

This contacts manager is an app that will stay for ever on your iPhone once you try it. After you open it up you will see that the developer was thinking about the you and what you'd want to do.

Within each contact you can e-mail or text with one tap....and it will keep a history of them within that contact. So if you want to know, or document, when you sent a text, e-mail or phone call to a particular person, all you have to do is pull them up and look under the History tab.

City Story Review

image

Social Networking is playing a major role in on-line gaming. Games that lack some kind of on-line tourney, championship, or leaderboard features with which you can post up and play with your Twitter or Facebook friends, are starting to seem old-fashioned. Another wrinkle is added with games that also use on-line currency to play. Currency that you buy with real money to help you advance. City Story is a sim/time management game that cheerfully introduces you and friends to the art and skill of town building...

Review: Gravity Runner by We Are Colin

image

The promo email I received for this game touted that Gravity Runner was “Canabalt with Gravity Manipulation”.  In all honesty, I think that description does a disservice to the game.  The reality is that if this is to be considered just a “running game” like Canabalt, it’s one of the most complex running games I’ve played.  In some respects it feels more like it wants to be a platform game, but if that’s the case it’s a little bit on the lite end of things.  Whatever the case it’s an interesting, challenging and almost always fun game that will certainly give you a run for your money (see what I did there?)

Stay or Fold?

What are the true benefits of folders?  Clearly, folders can be a very helpful element of the iPhone for better organization.  With folders, the user is able to put “like” applications together.  Not only this, but if there are multiple people using the iPhone (perhaps a family), applications can be grouped appropriately.  For instance say the phone belonged to the father of the family but the kids download game applications and the father wants to keep the phone more organized, he can use folders.  In the more common case, if there is a singular user to the phone, it can also help organize things for just that one user.  Gathering perhaps news applications and weather applications together or phone, mail, and text to

Firmware Review - The new Apple iOS 4.1 on the 3GS

How is the new Apple iOS 4.1 Firmware Update working on my 3GS?

iOS 4.1 -- new features include HDR photos

image

At last week's event Steve Jobs gave previews of iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2. The former updates the software for the iPhone and iPod touch, and the latter, to be available in November, will upgrade the iPad, and the three devices (iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad) will use the same software. TidBITs has a helpful short article on the new update, and describes new features such as high dynamic range photos (HDR) and Game Center. HDR sounds pretty amazing.

Make a fashion statement with the Beetle case

Are you looking for more color on your iPhone 4 cases? Check out the Beetle.

Beetle cases are available in plenty of awesome colors like red/white, purple/hot pink, black/blue and black/yellow. You can even suggest a color scheme if you don’t see you like!

The Beetle is slim and weighs almost nothing. It has a shock absorbing liner to provide protection, and allows easy access to the camera and all the iPhone controls.

The Ballistic HC case for the iPhone is too tough for me! This is the extreme case for the extreme user. Are you a rock climber? A mechanic? A skydiver? Then, this is the case for you!

Everything iPhone - Apps, Accessories, Reviews, Wallpapers etc | iPhone Life Magazine

The iPhone has become a benchmark for all other smartphones to compete with.  Reviews on the cases, accessories, apps, wallpapers and more are located below.  Here are a couple of Articles that showcase what we have to offer.  For eaxample, iPhone 4S by Alex Cequea (iPhone Life Magazine Editor in Chief).

In that article, Alex says that the iPhone 4S has the exact same physical form factor as the iPhone 4. However, the insides are a whole different story, and Apple tried to make that very clear. The most notable improvements are the 8MP camera with 1080p video recording, the A5 dual-core processor (same as the iPad 2), and an improved battery life (8 hours of 3G talk time, 200 hours of standby). As far as the capabilities, the new Siri Assistant feature was the highlight of the show. The Siri Assistant recognizes natural language and can answer questions such as, "What's the temperature out today?" Combined with the phone's GPS, you can say something like, "Remind me to call my wife when I get to work." The Assistant will not only know who your "wife" is, it'll also know where "work" is and pop up a reminder to "call Marcy" when you get there."

Here's another great article, The Best iPhone 4 Cases. This article goes on to explain that like its iPhone predecessors, cases have become one of the most popular ways to accessorize your cell phone. Most cell phone consumers buy a case bundled with their new phone to protect it from day one. And who can blame them? Mobile devices have become hugely valuable and expensive items; you want to protect them the best way you can. There are literally hundreds of cases on the market. Let's examine the different options available on the market to help you choose the one that's right for you.

What to know how to create your own app?  "The first step in creating an app is to understand what you want to create and how you will measure its success. Make sure the idea is well vetted and there is a solid business case behind it. There are roughly 600 new apps submitted to Apple each day—what is going to differentiate your app from the thousands that are already available and being launched each week? Here are some questions you’ll want to ask when getting your app idea..."
