Latest rumor: iPhone 5 to use Liquidmetal for case

image

There's not a lot of substance to this rumor, just a brief report on a Korean tech news website attributing the information to industry sources: "According to industry sources, the next flagship phones of the companies are expected to adopt unprecedented materials for their main bodies, that is, ceramic for the Galaxy S3 and liquid metal for iPhone 5, both being thin, light and highly resistant to external impacts." In fact, in 2010 Apple did purchase exclusive rights to use a new material named Liquidmetal in consumer devices, but has so far only used it in a S

Best free apps for the iPhone

Lists of best apps are exceedingly useful. You find out what people like the best and don't have to take the time to try a lot of apps to see what the really good ones are. And one of the best lists of free apps that I've seen is iMore's recent list of Best free iPhone apps. Many of my favorites are here and are apps that I would also recommend.

The future of printing is 3D according to Sculpteo

image
Forget 3D movies and television, the real future is 3D printing! It's not cheap, yet, but the folks at Sculpteo are trying to pioneer a new way to create truly personalized items from ceramic and other materials. Naturally, they have an app for that, and it supports the iPad as well. It lets you choose from an existing collection of designer-created 3D printable objects or create a personalized item like a mug with your child's silhouette built-in or an iPhone case with your custom message. I'm tempted to say the custom images or text are embossed, but that's technically inaccurate. The item is crafted in 3D with your edits. You have to see it to understand, and you can download the app for free and play with it.

Pushing Weight Review - Track your Pump!

image

I have exercised consistently for more than 20 years, especially with weights. One thing I've learned is that if you want to get results and keep them, you need to adopt and stick to a structured plan. A personal trainer is really the best way to get on the right track and stay there, but not everyone has access to that kind of resource (never had one, myself). A motivated and knowledgeable training partner is nearly as good, if not better in some cases. With a plan and a partner, now all you need is a way to journal and track your workouts. If you have an iPhone or iPod touch, Pushing Weight makes it pretty simple to plan and keep track of your pump!

News broke earlier today about renowned French designer Philippe Starck’s radio interview, saying he was working on a “revolutionary” new project with Apple. Quickly many began to speculate what this new Apple-born project could be. It's also important to note that it was called a "project" not a "product"...

Everything iPhone - Apps, Accessories, Reviews, Wallpapers etc | iPhone Life Magazine

The iPhone has become a benchmark for all other smartphones to compete with.  Reviews on the cases, accessories, apps, wallpapers and more are located below.  Here are a couple of Articles that showcase what we have to offer.  For eaxample, iPhone 4S by Alex Cequea (iPhone Life Magazine Editor in Chief).

In that article, Alex says that the iPhone 4S has the exact same physical form factor as the iPhone 4. However, the insides are a whole different story, and Apple tried to make that very clear. The most notable improvements are the 8MP camera with 1080p video recording, the A5 dual-core processor (same as the iPad 2), and an improved battery life (8 hours of 3G talk time, 200 hours of standby). As far as the capabilities, the new Siri Assistant feature was the highlight of the show. The Siri Assistant recognizes natural language and can answer questions such as, "What's the temperature out today?" Combined with the phone's GPS, you can say something like, "Remind me to call my wife when I get to work." The Assistant will not only know who your "wife" is, it'll also know where "work" is and pop up a reminder to "call Marcy" when you get there."

Here's another great article, The Best iPhone 4 Cases. This article goes on to explain that like its iPhone predecessors, cases have become one of the most popular ways to accessorize your cell phone. Most cell phone consumers buy a case bundled with their new phone to protect it from day one. And who can blame them? Mobile devices have become hugely valuable and expensive items; you want to protect them the best way you can. There are literally hundreds of cases on the market. Let's examine the different options available on the market to help you choose the one that's right for you.

What to know how to create your own app?  "The first step in creating an app is to understand what you want to create and how you will measure its success. Make sure the idea is well vetted and there is a solid business case behind it. There are roughly 600 new apps submitted to Apple each day—what is going to differentiate your app from the thousands that are already available and being launched each week? Here are some questions you’ll want to ask when getting your app idea..."
