AP Calculus Review

image

The AP Calculus power review app is made to help anyone get ready for a big test or exam in their AP Calculus class.  Everyone knows that calculus is one of the most difficult math courses around and when you're in the advanced placement class it is even more difficult.  This app is great because it allows you to pull it out and start studying anywhere you go.  There are two main sections to the app, study and information.

Now Bloomberg is reporting that new iPhone will have a larger screen

image

Major media reports this week are all indicating that the new iPhone will have a larger screen -- likely 4 inches. First the Wall Street Journal reported that Sharp, LG, and Japan Display were getting their production lines ready to start producing the larger displays for the next iPhone. Then Reuters reported that production of the new screens could begin as early as next month.

Review: UFO Adventure by Greg Chaffins

image

There was a time when a considerable amount of my gaming focus went to third person adventure game classics from the likes of companies such as Sierra Online and LucasArts.  That time has passed, in large part due to the fact that such games aren’t nearly as prevalent any more, but thankfully developers are starting to see the merit of this genre, and in particular this visual perspective, on modern gaming platforms.  One such developer is Greg Chaffins, and his latest effort, simply titled UFO Adventure, shows he knows a thing or two about what I remember from my childhood and teen years.

Review: USB Cell Drive: Cellink I

image

USB Cell Drive came out with a couple new products, with one of them being the Cellink I. This neat little gadget is like a mini Swiss army knife that contains some useful tools/features. To start, this little device has a built in 600 mAH battery. Its function is to not fully recharge your device, but to provide you an emergency power source when you are getting low or critical. The version I am using works with iPhone, iPod and iPad.

Round ‘em Up and Ride Out: Bloody Western for iOS

image

Bloody Western: the title says it all.  This social network games-inspired RPG is a great games with friends option for those who like their gaming and socializing to intersect.  A ton of content and a truly impressive adherence to theme make Bloody Western one of the best games for guys I’ve played on iOS this year.

Draw some things with the Draw Thing

I've seen a lot of styluses (styli?) over the years, but the latest offering looks like it will be a lot of fun, and for the right purposes, could be quite comfortable.

Everything iPhone - Apps, Accessories, Reviews, Wallpapers etc | iPhone Life Magazine

The iPhone has become a benchmark for all other smartphones to compete with.  Reviews on the cases, accessories, apps, wallpapers and more are located below.  Here are a couple of Articles that showcase what we have to offer.  For eaxample, iPhone 4S by Alex Cequea (iPhone Life Magazine Editor in Chief).

In that article, Alex says that the iPhone 4S has the exact same physical form factor as the iPhone 4. However, the insides are a whole different story, and Apple tried to make that very clear. The most notable improvements are the 8MP camera with 1080p video recording, the A5 dual-core processor (same as the iPad 2), and an improved battery life (8 hours of 3G talk time, 200 hours of standby). As far as the capabilities, the new Siri Assistant feature was the highlight of the show. The Siri Assistant recognizes natural language and can answer questions such as, "What's the temperature out today?" Combined with the phone's GPS, you can say something like, "Remind me to call my wife when I get to work." The Assistant will not only know who your "wife" is, it'll also know where "work" is and pop up a reminder to "call Marcy" when you get there."

Here's another great article, The Best iPhone 4 Cases. This article goes on to explain that like its iPhone predecessors, cases have become one of the most popular ways to accessorize your cell phone. Most cell phone consumers buy a case bundled with their new phone to protect it from day one. And who can blame them? Mobile devices have become hugely valuable and expensive items; you want to protect them the best way you can. There are literally hundreds of cases on the market. Let's examine the different options available on the market to help you choose the one that's right for you.

What to know how to create your own app?  "The first step in creating an app is to understand what you want to create and how you will measure its success. Make sure the idea is well vetted and there is a solid business case behind it. There are roughly 600 new apps submitted to Apple each day—what is going to differentiate your app from the thousands that are already available and being launched each week? Here are some questions you’ll want to ask when getting your app idea..."
