With iOS 7 Apple has introduced support for MFi (Made for iPhone), third-party game controllers. I anticipate that over the next few months we will see a plethora of options along with this one, which is purported to be Logitech’s entry into the field. This image comes to us from @evleaks
which has a pretty good reputation for accurate information.
This was a good all-around gaming week: Three decent games, and only one featuring detested in-app purchases (IAPs). Top billing goes to Orborun ($1.99), which is a mind-melting 3D physics puzzler with multi-level high-flying courses and tricky obstacles. Gods VS Humans ($1.99) is a different strategy game that pits you against ancient humans that are trying to dethrone you as their deity—also great for the whole family. Asphalt 8: Airborne ($0.99), previously reviewed by Siva Om, is about as freaking cool a race game as you can find in the known universe.
I never would have imagined that I could improve my golf game with my iPhone, but now I can with the new GolfSense by Zepp. This golf swing analyzer works with a sensor in a glove and sends data to a free app on your phone. Amazing. Just attach the motion sensor to your favorite golf glove, download the app, and you are ready to start improving your game.

It's been awhile since my last WIPTW postup, but the hardware review queue had been piling up. Anyway, I managed to grab at least three keepers this week, and all of them were free at the time of this writing (though two have now have reverted back to full price—sorry about that). First up is Undead Slayer (free), a 3D hack/slashfest; Pinball HD ($1.99 with 3 tables), a realistic pinball simulation; and finally Time Surfer ($0.99), a side-scrolling slider akin to Tiny Wings.
One of our editors here at iPhone Life recently asked me which pair of headphones I would vote for as best headphone of the year. Without hesitation I replied that in my opinion Phiaton’s Bridge MS 500 ($269.00) deserved that honor. These uniquely crafted headphones take precision sound sculpting to a whole new level. And when I use the word sculpting, that is exactly what these superior headphones do. Like a master sculptor, the Bridge MS 500s take the acoustics of whatever you're listening to and mold and funnel the sounds to get the maximum dynamic range out of each and every note.

Wow! That's the word that first comes to mind when trying to describe just how amazing 50 Cent's new SMS Audio Street ANC headphones ($279.95) are.
50 Cent is know for his hardcore gangsta rap and controversial lyrics, as well as some seriously heavy bass lines. Discovered and managed by none other than Eminem himself, 50 Cent has gone on to transcend his rap star status and become a successful actor and businessman as well.
I got a chance to chat with 50 Cent at this year’s CES in Vegas. He was in town promoting his new line of headphones. We didn't get around to talking much about his headphones (it was Vegas after all), but I enjoyed our one on one a great deal, and he did offer to sign an autographed copy of iPhone Life magazine for me. It was only later that I came to realize what an amazing pair of headphones 50 had attached his name to. Look out, Beats by Dre ($299.95), there's a new contender on the block!
Lately I've been more into co-op, multiplayer gaming than ever. Our iDevices (in my case, my iPad mini specifically), have given gamers the flexibility and convenience of engaging in multiplayer mayhem wherever we are, whenever we want, and in a console caliber format. And now, more than ever, there's a plethora of awesome multiplayer games to choose from, where we can engage in competition and challenges with other real-world folk.
A new game, 2013: Infected Wars ($6.99), set to hit the App Store in a couple of weeks, will redefine the co-op battle genre once again as well as what a traditional, console-quality FPS can be.
