I'm a fan of aluminum photos. I have a nice family portrait printed direct on aluminum and it gets great feedback. Such prints resist fading, water damage, tears, etc., so I was excited to see the Chromaluxe cases
for the iPhone 5 and 4/4S.

The article I link to below has lots of useful infromation and valuable links on the topic of cell phone radiation levels and it's a must read for anyone who uses a cellular device, much less anyone (myself included) who finds themself carrying these devices around with them on or near their body most of the time.

This is one for the ladies. Or for those of you with a special lady in your life. As long as she has an iPhone!
The Joy Factory makes some great accessories, so I was excited to see why they would come up with for the iPhone 5. Just like with restrooms, the ladies always get the better end of the deal. While men get a step above an outhouse, from what I've heard, ladies rooms have couches, perfume, etc. Ladies get some neat options for cellphone cases as well.
Everyone knows that the name Hercules is associated with great strength and integrity. Now, with their new backpack of the same name, EC-BC has done a most excellent job of creating a high-quailty backpack that embodies those same qualities of strength and integrity.
The Hercules is a stylish bag that looks nothing like a military issue pack, nor even a particularly rugged bag. But don't let its fashionably attractive appearance decieve you! The Hercules is every bit as tough and durable as many "military standard" backpacks! In fact, with its superior craftsmanship and intense attention to detail, the Hercules is actually more rugged than many military issue bags that I have evaluated over the years! Now that's saying something...
Welcome to this comprehensive gift guide to the best of the best in rugged gear, accessories and apps for iOS. Featuring over 20 different companies that make high-quality, ruggedly contructed and durable gear, or apps suited to outdoor and survival skills. Read on after the break for more details (and over 30 useful links) about some of the most exceptional adventure-ready products on the market...
Okay, let me start by saying I've never engaged in a more extreme sport than off-road motocross. Hands down, of all the sports I've been involved with over this lifetime, including Shotokan Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Single-handed sailing, track or kayaking to name a few, none has ever beat the living-daylights out of me like off-road motorcycle riding.
Now I will admit to delusions of grandeur at times, when I am out there racing my brother, catching air and eating dirt, thinking about turning pro... but that said, I do ride pretty hard and fast and as a result I've had my fair share of bumps and bruises (and sprains and breaks too!) over the years.
So when I say to you, that the Optrix XD iPhone case
is worthy of its claims of being one of the most hardcore and rugged cases on the market it is no small matter. The Optrix
is designed for just about any crazy adventure you can imagine. And with its built-in 175 degree wide-angle lens, it is truly the perfect accessory for capturing those crazy, extreme moments on film as they go down.
I've written about Mapi's iPad cases
before, and I'm a fan of their materials and quality. They make cases for iPads that learn from Apple's SmartCover concept and take it a step further.
Like Apple's SmartCover, the flap folds in a triangle, to offer a couple of viewing angles. But you can rotate the stand to use it in portrait or landscape mode, which even Apple's case doesn't do.
If you were not already familiar with the Alano family of deluxe leather cases by Portenzo, I’d describe them as a great combination of rustic, old world charm and a modern-classic appearance. These high-quality leather iDevice cases are absolutely exquisite and bring an earthy, organic feel to our all metal and glass iPads. The simplicity and practical functionality of the Portenzo cases will suit many an iPad and iPhone user perfectly. Anyone who appreciates a little old world, country flavor with their iDevices, will certainly appreciate these cases.
The Alano cases for the iPad and iPhone remind me of magical leather bound books, the likes of which you might see in Victorian, early Western or Medieval times, straight out of King’s Landing. Urban gypsies, modern cowboys and renaissance classicists (anyone out there a Hobbit fan?) will all feel comforted and at ease with their high-tech devices elegantly ensconced within a Portenzo iDevice "book" case.
Those of you who follow my articles know that I'm both an outdoor enthusiast as well as a person who likes to bring my mobile devices into the field with me. So I get to test the reliability, durability and ruggedness of many products that claim to be just that; reliable, durable and rugged. I'm always keeping my eyes open for any new accessories that can help keep our iDevices safe in potentially unfavorable circumstances, whether they occur in the urban jungle or in the great outdoors.
