You Can Never Have Enough Power, but UNU Comes Close

image

I travel a lot, and depend on my iOS devices during those travels. That makes a reliable extra battery pack an extremely important part of my travel gear. Recently I've been using a UNU battery case ($99.95), but that's specifically for my iPhone 5s. It doesn't have a USB port to power my iPad Air, and when the next iPhone comes out, it won't be compatible.

Apple News: More iPhone 6 Spy Shots

image

As we get closer to September 9th, the rumored launch date for the next iPhone, more parts and photos are leaking out.  The latest, from Sonny Dickson, shows a scratched up back casing.  There's a lot to learn from these photos, assuming they're real, of course.  But they do jibe with previous leaks and Sonny has a good record.

Waterproof Battery Case: Review of the iBattz Refuel Aqua

Yes, it's true.

You can now have the convenience of a waterproof and battery case at the same time.

Piel Frama's FramaSlim Lives Up to Its Name

image

Piel Frama makes nice, quality leather cases for iPhones and other gadgets. But I didn't think they could make a case as slim as the FramaSlim. There has to be a trick, and indeed there is. Instead of a plastic insert or more leather to enclose the iPhone, they use a micro-suction material to attach the iPhone to the stiff leather case. There is a flap that covers the screen, but still, the case is remarkably thin. That flap closes shut thanks to built-in magnets, which is a nice touch.

Adventure-Proof Your iPhone with the Heavy-Duty Voyager for the iPhone 5/5s

Pelican has long been considered a pioneer in the design and manufacture of high quality, rugged gear that's designed to last and withstand significant abuse. Their new ruggedized iPhone 5/5s cases continue in this great tradition. With its minimalistic yet highly protective design, the Pelican Voyager ($50) is the latest heavy-duty iPhone case offering from one of the leaders in reliably protective cases. This well-designed case not only meets the demanding Military Standards of device defense, it actually outshines the competition in one critical area.

Apple News: Putting the Apple Logo to Work

image

MacBook owners have (usually) appreciated the glowing Apple logo on the back of their MacBooks. It's a neat touch that shows Apple's attention to detail. Now iPhone owners might see something similar when they turn their phone around. The previously etched-in Apple logo on other metal iPhones may now be replaced by a plastic opening, according to the latest spy shots from Uswitch.com.

Slim Case Comparison: Speck Candy Shell vs. Belkin Grip Candy Sheer

image

I love my iPhone. Who doesn't? So I like to keep it safe in a slim case that can fit in my pocket.

When I had an iPhone 4, the Speck CandyShell case ($34.95) was my first pick. Now, with my 5s, I have opted for a Belkin Grip Candy Sheer case ($24.99).

Hengedock Has a Place for Everything

image

I'm on a train back from CE Week, blogging by iPad with a compact Bluetooth keyboard. While it's convenient to travel light, I will be glad to get back to my 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display. In fact, I won't be using that Retina display all that much, because I now have my MacBook hooked up to a pair of 24-inch monitors and the MacBook is tucked away in the new Hengedock docking station.

iPhone Cases, iPad Covers, iPod Sleeves | iPhone Life Magazine

The market for iPhone cases is increasing exponentially with the release of the new iPhone 4S.  The companies that make the cases are always looking for more ways to capture their customers attention.  Whether practicality or style is more important, we review the products so that you don't have to.

Are you looking for a durable clip-on case for your new iPhone 4S? There are plenty of choices that exist already, thanks to the fact that the new iPhone's dimensions are the same as the original iPhone 4. One of the more recent cases to hit the market is Ballistic's Sport Rugged Universal Smartphone Pouch. How does it stack up to the competition? Read on to find out.

iPhone cases are getting to be like jewelry… there seems to be a different case for every occasion. If the occasion is rugged outdoor activity, the Ballistic offers a tough, scratch-resistant nylon vertical flip case with a thick clip that holds on snuggly to a belt or strap. While it is just slightly on the bulky side, the case is lined along the bottom and sides with a stitched ridge that will absorb the shock of a drop fairly well.

If the occasion is more flashy (Gaga Style)... There are a lot of case makers out there, but there's only one Lady Gaga.  And LuxMobile has licensed her images and designs for their line of cases.  No strangers to luxury licensing, LuxMobile also offers cases with Ed Hardy and other trendy designs.  More feminine-friendly cases are becoming popular, and the Lady Gaga collection presented several options.  There is the understated 'diamond pattern' Romance style, but true Gaga fans may want something more outlandish.  No 'meat' cases currently, but you never know.

Surc is a case and app combo that turns your iphone into a universal remote control. What makes this device stand out from the crowd is that the unit is sleek and adds little to the size or weight of the phone. Usually you have to add an attachment to the phone to convert it into a remote. Not with this one.  This remote goes above and beyond your basic remote. You can control multiple items in a room. On top of that, I was really impressed with the capabilities and customization that this unit allows. Add the buttons you want, move them around the screen, even use gestures to control your device. Shake the iPhone and you turn on or off your TV. Watch the video to see even more features.
