Latest iphone apps blogs
Greetings my fellow travelers and adventures and welcome once again to my Summer Travel special series here at iPhone Life. In this installment I'd like to share with you one of my favorite apps for on the road and on the go adventures.
Max Power Adventures is another role-playing game, but with a humorous twist. Since there are so many different RPG's available, it only makes sense to develop a parody to mock them all. For those that are sincerely into gaming, you may get a kick out of this one.
The controls are pretty basic as well as the concept of the game. The developers take in great detail to explain every little thing including the rules and storyline. Yes, you will be saving a princess, but the superhero Max is more excited about the combat than his prize. After all, there doesn't seem to be much hiring of superheroes occurring during the depression.
If you are a Google user, you can make it much more difficult for an attacker to hijack your account by configuring and using 2-factor authentication now available (go here to learn more about this important feature). 2-factor authentication is a security validation process requiring you to present independent proof of identity before you can access an online resource--in this case, your GMail account. The idea is to better protect your account from intrusion by making the sign-in process in some way verifiably unique to your session. Read on to learn more about Google's very smart (providing an authenticator app for iOS) move to help users protect their accounts, and why Apple needs to quickly follow suit!
Every weekend we will be raffling off tons of great apps and accessories for FREE. With the exploding popularity of Facebook, Twitter, E-Mail and texting over the last ten years or so it has quickly become difficult to keep up on them all. If you are spending time sending out messages to your friends and family through all these different tools it can get quite repetitive and time consuming. The AmIOK app has solved that problem by allowing its users to make Facebook status updates, Twitter updates, and send e-mails and texts all at once.
iOS 6 has over 200 new features, including the following: Siri will now be able to report sports scores and player stats, team rankings and more.
Polaris Office is a pretty unique app of its kind. To sum it up, it allows Apple users with devices such as the iPad or iPhone to access and edit Microsoft Office documents. Of course, it's a lot more extensive than just that; but this is why it has become one of the most popular business apps to date. As for its cost, many people believe that the worth definitely meets its value.
Tim Cook went through the numbers. Over 60 countries represented at WWDC. Over 400 million iTunes store customers, over 650,000 apps. 225,000 specifically for the iPad. 30 billion downloaded apps and counting and over five billion dollars paid out to developers!
Best iPhone Apps, iPad Apps, iPod Touch Apps | iPhone Life Magazine
We review the Best iPhone Apps, iPad Apps, and iPod Touch Apps. Whether you want to play a game (like Chillingham Manor), navigate with GPS, or discover new apps, you can easily get lost. There are so many on the market and the number is increasing on a daily basis. So where to begin? The following examples are just a few of what is out there.
The Head Finder is one of the iPhone apps around. It is a task management or schedule management that helps you organize all the different things you have to do. It has a very simple user interface and it seems they designed all the most common functions to be done with as little tapping and typing as possible which is a real time saver. Several time management apps, in the past, have seemed to waste more time entering events and tasks into the app than you might save by being more organized. With Head Finder you can have a new task entered in less than thirty seconds with their quick three tap process to create a reminder.
Another one of the best Iphone apps we've seen is The JumiCam. This app allows you to view streaming video from any web cam you want with ease. It's easy to set up the software on your PC and then connect your phone to see what's going on at your house. The JumiCam also works very well on either a 3G connection or WiFi. This app allows you to connect to as many different web cams as you want so you can monitor your entire house while you're away if you want. It can really take the place of an entire security service if you wanted it to. There are many ways to use this, from keeping an eye on a babysitter while you're out on a date to making sure your pet is safe at home while you're at work.
As the name describes, U.S. Traveller is made for travelers that call the United States their home and travel to countries outside their own. In opening the iPhone app, on the "Countries" tab, you are presented with a list of countries & their correlating flags. The added flags next to the country names are a nice touch, especially since most people can quickly find a country based on visual representation versus textual representation. You can travel from the U.S. to numerous countries - Chile, Argentina, Germany & Italy to name a few. This may not adequately prepare you for the countries you visit, but this will for sure help you. The amount of information and the ease of access it gives to people is incredibly invaluable.
