Bam! Jr. App Review

image

If you've been looking for a game that will keep the kids occupied; then Bam! Jr. is what you have been looking for.  This particular game is fast paced, practicing colors, and really stimulates the brain with optical illusions.  In other words, you have to be pretty quick to win this game.  So, what is the overall object?

Deluxe Moon HD App Review

image

There are many different things to learn and see with Deluxe Moon HD.  In fact, if you are unfamiliar with astrology and the moon phases; the initial page might be a bit confusing!  But, this doesn't take away from the very cool effects that it provides.  So, what exactly is the purpose of this app?

Vikersund Ski Flying App Review

image

The Vikersund ski flying app is a simple game where you play as a skier who is attempting a ski jump.  You tap to begin skiing down the hill and at the right moment you tap the screen to jump.  The goal is to get as far as possible during your jump.  You can play either single player or against someone.  Single player you have to beat scores which are computer generated, of course for multi-player you are going against your friend.

Music Color for iPhone and iPad

image

The iPhone and iPad have been extremely popular for a number of things since they came out but one thing which has been surprising by many is how many great educational uses there is for them.  One type of education app which many people might never know about is those which are designed for very young children.  The music color app is designed to not only help little kids learn their colors but also get a great appreciation for music.  The app is set up with large panels of different colors for little kids to choose and interact with in a simple way.

Stone Age App Review

image

The Stone Age game is a fairly straight forward game with a top down view where you control a cave man who is out hunting for meat.  On the iPhone the controls are fairly simple with moving is done by tilting the device left or right.  Attacking is done by simply tapping the screen where you want to throw a club and defense works by swiping a finger across the screen.

Valentine Wishes - Enjoy this Valentines Day with Valentine Wishes

image

This Valentine’s Day themed game is actually four cute games in one.  While entirely unoriginal, this game is still fun.  It appears that the creators of this app just put new graphics on top of other games which have been around for a while.  That being said, the game is still fairly fun and since it's free it is well worth getting.  The games are rather simple to play and don't require much time to learn but can still be challenging enough to enjoy for even experienced game players.

Review: Royal Trouble: Hidden Adventures HD by G5 Entertainment

image

Well, it seems G5 has done it again with Royal Trouble: Hidden Adventures for the iPhone and iPad.  The best part is that despite its name and web page description it’s really not a hidden object game!  Don’t get me wrong, because I love HoGs, but there’s also a need for more traditional point and click adventure games, and Royal Trouble delivers that kind of game play in spades.  The story is funny, the characters are cool, and while you occasionally have to think about something for a bit, all the puzzles are really quite logical.  I hope this is the start of a trend towards this kind of game on iOS devices, because I like it.

Review: Reckless Getaway by Polarbit

image

Generally I prefer my games to have a somewhat compelling set of goals, but there are times when I do enjoy the simple pleasure of mass destruction.  Still, while I figured Reckless Getaway would be fun, I was pretty much expecting it to be a “few minutes here, few minutes there” sort of game.  Turns out I’ve become quite addicted to this little gem.  With it’s over the top… well, everything it feels like you’re in control of a chase scene stolen from a John Woo film.  About the only thing I wish at this point is that there were a variety of cars to choose from, but otherwise it’s a nearly perfect no holds barred racer.

Fat Jump Pro iPhone App Review

image

Fat jump pro is a fun game which has you playing a small green character who starts out at the bottom of the screen, and has to jump from bouncy platform to bouncy platform without falling.  While this does sound like many other games, this one has quite a few different unique additions to the game which have made it quite enjoyable and greatly adds to the length of time it can be enjoyed.

iPad Reviews, News, Tips and Tricks

Searching for the best iPad reviews, news or tips and tricks on accessories, apps, gadgets and more is just as important as figuring which apple product you should get in the first place. iPad reviews and news on different products allow you to make a more conscientious decision, but where should you look.  Here at iPhone Life Magazine we work towards answering these very questions.  This page is dedicated to iPad reviews, news, tips and tricks.  This is just one example of a review that we have online (The Green Figure iHolder iPad Stand).

Another great thing about doing research is that sometimes you will find something that you weren't looking for and that can help you.  For example, our page on The Best of 2011 shows our reviews for some of the best products that came out this past year.  This link gives you just a taste of some of the concrete examples of reviews that we do.

Now, the iPad 2 has been around for several months and there have been several companies that have based themselves around the needs of this tablet.  However, it is still a competitive world in the market of accessories.  Anyone could be easily overwhelmed by all the available stands, apps, cases or any of the other niche markets.  We would definitely recommend doing some research and checking out some iPad reviews to get an idea of whats available and how you are going to use your device. The market has several options to choose from today.

Such examples as IK Multimedia, have been on a roll lately, with a slew of hardware and software products tailored for amateur and prosumer musicians. Whether its stands and clips for iPhones and iPads or multitrack recording and sampling software for the iOS platform, IK has been expanding their catalog at a prodigious rate. Their latest releases include a MIDI hardware connector for the iOS platform, a sound sampler app and a iPad version of their popular VocaLive software. These iPad reviews will take a closer look at each.

Whatever you may be searching for, we too are looking for answers and want to help you find them.
