I review a lot of iOS games, and as a side effect, it takes a really good game (one with unique features and captivating gameplay) to impress me. The latest game to blow me away is called Bloodmasque ($6.99), by award-winning developer Square Enix. Bloodmasque is a complex and layered game, set in the 1800s in Paris. It follows the tale of an elite and ancient group of half-breed Vampire hunters as they endeavor to rid the world of the darkness and tyranny of the powerful Vampire clan. This game is not just another hack’n’slash a la Infinity Blade II. Rather, Bloodmasque is a legitimate contender for 2013's iOS Game of the Year in my opinion, bringing to the table a rich, well-told story, beautifully rendered visuals, diverse graphic styles, and gameplay that is deep and interesting. It's not too complex for a casual gamer, nor is it oversimplified for hardcore gamers. Read on to learn more about this great new iOS game and to find out one of this game’s most unique and surprising features!
The Skullcandy Navigator ($99.95) is a pair of compact and stylish on-ear headphones that won't break the bank and is completely compatible with your iPhone. Like all of Skullcandy’s products, sound quality takes top billing, but design is every bit as important. These headphones pay tribute to the classic aviator headphones, which pilots have used generation after generation.
These low profile, on-ear headphones combine the classic styling of traditional aviator headphones with the latest in audio technology to deliver a great auditory experience.
I'm a skeptic by nature, so I wasn't sure what to expect with the HeartMath InnerBalance sensor for iOS ($99). The device clips to your earlobe and detects your emotional signals, transmitting them to your iOS device. Well guess what... the darn thing works! I was surprised to see that as my breathing, pulse, and emotions changed, the app registered those changes. There is something to this, and physicians, therapists, and researchers need to take note!
The sensor is more comfortable than I thought it would be... I thought it would pinch, but it just sort of sits on your earlobe. A wire tethers the sensor to your iOS device with a 30-pin connector. If you have devices with Lightning connectors, you'll need an Apple adaptor. The connection is a bit tricky, and it took me a few tries to get everything plugged in just right. I would prefer a wireless solution, but it does work.
Few video games measure up to the visual standard set in Sky Gamblers: Cold War ($4.99): the detail, the excellent battle effects, the array of modern and vintage aircraft, and game tutorial levels that are more refined than many whole games. Cold War is a game that keeps you spellbound for hours, so make sure to clear off your calendar before you dive into this amazing air combat experience. You won't want to climb out of the cockpit for awhile!!
Now more than ever, we adventure enthusiasts, social nomads, and adrenaline junkies have our choice of a wide selection of high-quality portable Bluetooth sound systems to use with our iDevices during summer adventures. Read on to get the scoop on the latest crop of new, rugged Bluetooth speakers...

I don’t get a chance to play nearly as many G5 new releases as I’d like to, but when I do get the chance, I usually manage to pick the more interesting ones. Twin Moons HD (Free download; $6.99 IAP for full game) is no exception to that rule. Once I started playing the game, I played Twin Moons almost exclusively until I had completed it. I haven’t been quite that enthralled in an adventure game in a while.
The game has a pretty typical adventure game intro in the sense that you find yourself driving in a car and ultimately crashing in front of your desired destination. In this case, however, you’re not quite sure what you’re doing there, which is where the story comes in. Aside from the fact that the story is interesting, I like the fact that it is mostly told via scene-triggered flashbacks and other things I won’t mention so as not to spoil the premise.
Godzilla has to be my all-time favorite monster! Nothing could be scarier than a massive, towering beast rising from the ocean to breath fire down on unfortunate subway commuters riding to work. I love the monster-on-monster battles, the military standoffs, and especially the fun of two obviously suited actors rolling around and crashing into miniature buildings. Pacific Rim ($4.99) is bringing giant monsters to the big screen this summer, and the small screen game version puts you in control of a Jaeger to battle them with!
Apple is preparing to upgrade its mobile operating system to iOS 7, and with that, we can expect to see a host of new features on our iDevices as well as significant improvements to already-existing features and apps. One of the things I'm excited to see is how mobile gaming evolves with iOS 7. On that note, it seems appropriate to feature a serious gamer’s headphone. Hardcore gamers and audiophiles alike will appreciate the quality of sound of the V-Moda Crossfade M-100s ($310) over-the-ear headphones.
While many companies develop great headphones, very few pour as much time, energy, and resources into research and development as has V-Moda. The Crossfade over-the-ear headphones are very much the product of extensive crowdsourcing and feedback from a variety of audio experts and connoisseurs.
My first experience with Digi-Chain Games was Dungeon Of The Damned, which sadly showed lots of promise but in my opinion failed in execution. Since then, the company has stuck to good old-fashioned, point-and-click adventures and has produced some wonderfully entertaining games in the process. Its latest is Escape from the Dead HD ($0.99), and while the overall design choices prevent it from feeling like a true horror game, it still does what Digi-Chain does best—provide the end user with a solid, thoughtful, adventure game experience. I was only disappointed that the game is easier and more straightforward than past efforts, making it a shorter overall journey.

Searching for the best iPad reviews, news or tips and tricks on accessories, apps, gadgets and more is just as important as figuring which apple product you should get in the first place. iPad reviews and news on different products allow you to make a more conscientious decision, but where should you look. Now, the iPad 2 has been around for several months and there have been several companies that have based themselves around the needs of this tablet. However, it is still a competitive world in the market of accessories. Anyone could be easily overwhelmed by all the available stands, apps, cases or any of the other niche markets. We would definitely recommend doing some research and checking out some iPad reviews to get an idea of whats available and how you are going to use your device. The market has several options to choose from today.
Such examples as IK Multimedia, have been on a roll lately, with a slew of hardware and software products tailored for amateur and prosumer musicians. Whether its stands and clips for iPhones and iPads or multitrack recording and sampling software for the iOS platform, IK has been expanding their catalog at a prodigious rate. Their latest releases include a MIDI hardware connector for the iOS platform, a sound sampler app and a iPad version of their popular VocaLive software. These iPad reviews will take a closer look at each.
