image
AppGear has thrown the gaming industry a loop, by combining the increasingly popular touchscreen interface with real world, physical elements for a whole new form of hands-on gameplay. This shouldn't be a surprise, as AppGear is part of WowWee, the people who brought robotics to the toy box.

Bubble Grubble App Review

image

A good majority of app downloads are in the form of mobile games. These games come in many forms, but the favorite category of games is physics based games, with puzzles to solve in free time. Bubble Grubble fits the description of a perfect game to play whenever you’re bored or when you have a little extra time on your hands. It’s one of those games that can keep you entertained for as long as you need it to, keeping your mind trying to figure out the next puzzle. Bubble Grubble is a simple looking game, but it takes thought to feed those birds.

Space Mathematics App Review

image

In elementary school, children seem to have the hardest time with multiplication and division, because it is totally new to them. Space Mathematics: Multiplication and Division gives children a fun and easy way to learn these new math techniques without all of the confusion that they can get with a pencil on paper. After all, the best way to teach children new things is to find a way that they can relate to and enjoy, which you can find by using Space Mathematics. It’s a creative way to help kids learn the things they’ll need for the rest of their lives.

[REVIEW] Karate Champ XL

image

Today I decided to play a game of Karate Champ on my new iPad before beginning my studying for the day. When loading the iPhone app I was informed that an iPad version, Karate Champ XL (revolutionaryconcepts.net), was available for only $4.99.

Bunny Run Game Review for iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch

image

Bunny Run is a free application that allows you to play as a bunny and avoid getting smashed by vehicles. Whether you’re crossing the road or crossing train tracks, you’ll want to be careful and avoid being dinner for scavengers. Bunny Run is an arcade romp that’s sure to keep you entertained when you have some extra downtime.

Bunny Run is a run and dodge type application that promises to take the run and dodge type applications to a whole new level. It can be related to the old school game Frogger. You were constantly in a rush and trying to not get squished by traffic. Well unlike Frogger, Bunny Run has unique dynamics, amazing graphics and endless gameplay to keep you occupied.

Game Review: DEAD TRIGGER

image

DEAD TRIGGER, the newest game release from MADFINGER games (makers of the other App Store smash hit, SHADOWGUN) is one of the best First Person Shooters available right now. This game is freakishly scary, and has been a very hard game for me to put down, partly due to its killer graphics, and partly due to its excellent gameplay. The post-apocalyptic environment you find yourself in is desolate with lethal danger around every corner. Abandoned buildings and deserted alleyways will become your tomb, if you are lucky. If not so lucky, well then I reckon you end up like them.

Amazing Kitty: Cute Feline-themed Puzzler

image

Amazing Kitty from Shiconal is a feel-good feline-themed puzzle matching game that is practically guaranteed to have players addicted from the get-go.

The simple premise of this friendly little matching game is to get two of the bouncy, square-ish kitties that look alike to touch-and to tap them before they lose contact, and meet each stage’s clear-condition goal. Sounds familiar enough, right? Don’t get too ahead of yourself—Amazing Kitty might sound like a typical matching game, but it has plenty of charm all its own.

What I Played this Week - Bounty Racer, Kingdom Rush, Stitcher and Pearltrees!

image

What I played this week includes a mix of apps for both work and play, and warn you this will be a lengthy column, as also have a bit of game news to share at the end. So, let's jump in--play before work, as the saying goes: Bounty Racer (beta) is an exquisite crash cart-esque 3D racing menagerie (should be released next week). Second, Kingdom Rush for iPhone is engaging, if tiny, Tower Defense fun with rousing vocals and clashing swords to keep you alert through endless enemy waves. Pearltrees is a "web curation" app (web-content mind mapping/sharing) with an interesting way to find/share online content. Stitcher is to news radio and podcasts what Slacker or Pandora are to music.  Lot's to look at, so let the WIPTW madness commence forthwith!

Cuboid: 3D Puzzle Game App Review

image

The Cuboid app is an addicting 3D puzzle game available on your mobile device.  The game is played on a beautiful 3D scene with the object being to move your ‘cuboid’ from the first tile through to the goal as quickly as possible, and in as few moves as possible.  Depending on the amount of moves and the amount of time it takes you, you’ll get a score.  While it sounds simple enough, the game gets much more complex because of all the different items in the game which will either help you speed through the level or try to slow you down.

Best iPad Games, Reviews, Free iPad Games

The best iPad games, reviews, and free iPad games are always hard to find, especially when you don't know where to start.  Tons of reviews on 'the game that must be played' are written right here on this page.  We are constantly looking for ways to improve and the article on the NBA 2K12, is just one example of what we do.

Here is a brief description of the article:  “In iOS world, there’s an App for everything, and everything has an App.  Until recently, the only exclusion was that of a true NBA game.  Well thanks to NBA 2K12, by 2K Sports, throwback fans of “The Hick from French Lick” and his more modern counterpart of “The Candy Man” now have their favorite teams and players in reach of both thumbs.  This is 2K sports first edition (in iOS format) for this #1 selling basketball game.  Did they do right by iOS users?  In short, “Yea baby”, they did.”

We try and keep the articles lively and informative.  Although not all of them are based on sports.  Skillz is one example that has become one of the most addictive and an overall fun game that has recently hit the market.  The concept matches many other popular music games that test your rhythm, tap speed, and ability to rock the turn tables.  It’s similar to Guitar Hero and Rock Band, but much more difficult which makes it appealing.

Another key point in choosing the best iPad games are the graphics.  Shadowgun is a new game that is pressing the boundaries of the new graphic cards.  The linked article even has a video for you to see what it actually looks like.  It's a first person shooter that guides the gamer through an intense story line out in space.

All reviews, like the ones linked above, are the best iPad games that we can find.
