Cooking with the FridgePad - love it!

image

One of my favorite apps is Paprika Recipe Manager. I use it in the kitchen almost everyday, but I worry about getting food or liquid on my iPad. But now, with the FridgePad, I can hang my iPad on the refrigerator out of the way of food and liquid spills. Perfect!

You can use the FridgePad to read recipes; check your email, the news, travel info, and weather; listen to music or watch videos.

Review: Mission Workshop Rambler Backpack

image

Mission Workshop is a company in San Francisco that designs and makes messenger bags and backpacks (and apparel too). All of their products are proudly made in America. They sent me over a Rambler backpack to try out and this thing is a beast (a good beast). I have a Swiss gear backpack that I have used for years.

Review: URBANEARS Plattan Headphones

image

I just finished trying out another set of headphones. The Plattan is a medium sized headphone from URBANEARS. This stylish headset comes packaged in a cardboard box which is accompanied by two cable extensions. These extensions allow compatibility with many devices.

There are a lot of features designed into this unit.

The set folds down for portability.

If you love your iPhone so much...

image

Freedom is ringing out all over the world, and now it's come to our devices.  Have you ever heard 'If you love your iPhone so much, why don't you marry it?' Well now you can, with http://www.MarryYouriPhone.com.  Sure, it might seem unorthodox but it's a new world.  And who else makes for a more faithful companion?  Sure, you might sleep in because of a Daylight Savings Time glitch, but at least the news sites will report that your spouse was indeed wrong.  That's a great way to win an argument.

SuperTooth DISCO Product Review

image

Bluetooth audio products have been on the market for years, though their momentum didn't really accelerate until the commercialization of the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) specification. Devices that support this uni-directional stereo channel streaming audio technology can wirelessly connect to a A2DP-compliant source. While most of these devices are phone headsets, a growing category is high-quality external speakers. SuperTooth's DISCO is one such product. Let's take a closer look at what the DISCO has to offer.

STM Skinny for iPad 2

image

STM has come out with their new "Skinny" case for iPad2. You can get all the detail of case in the link. They even integrated the on/off magnets in it.

Unfortunately, there will not be a similar case for the iPad 1 (I really like the looks of this one).

Here are our picks and reviews of the best iPad accessories for 2011.  Read on to find the absolute best gear and best ipad accessories.

Most iPad owners purchase a case to protect their device. The type of case you choose depends on how you'll be using your iPad and how much you want to spend. In this section we look at a variety of the best protective iPad accessories: cases, bags, shells, and sleeves, as well as stands. The descriptions not only include the list price but also the price on Amazon, so that you can get a sense for how much they're selling for through other online retailers.

New audio accessories are constantly evolving for all iOS devices, and starting earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), there were some great ones in action. Most prefer something compact, with good quality sound, and affordability. An integrated app is nice, but not crucial.

The Bose MIE2i wired mobile headset

are perfect examples of earbuds that are compact, have great sound quailty and are affordable. They are highly rated for both sound quality and comfort. They come with three sizes of StayHear silicon tips and an answer/end button on the inline microphone. The reviews say the quality of sound is tops. Note that these are standard earbuds - no noise-isolating to block unwanted sound.
A comparison of these earbuds and other great accessories are in the 2011 Best Gear article.
