Here is a product that I think many who don’t like to use traditional cases (so to speak) may find very useful. Take note, as it does not matter if you are an iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, or even another similar device owner.
Enter the iShine Sleeve. There is one for the iPad and a smaller one for the iPhone / iPods. From their site, it’s made of “durable glass-cleaning microfiber.” It’s a case and cleaning cloth in one. The review sample I was sent included the iPad size and the smaller one.
This case is made of soft silicone and goes on the iPad fairly easily. The back has two ergonomically designed grooves. It feels pretty good in the hand and does offer some scratch protection. But in my opinion, this is where the good things stop.
I have been using the Cyber Acoustics IC-1000 iPad Case and I can say that I am impressed with it. This case may be ideal for a person who especially likes the Apple case style but wants added features. There are a few similarities between the two but it pretty much stops there. Cyber Acoustics took over and added their own spin on it.
There's a new case company in town, and they go by the name modulR. They way they spell and capitalize their name isn't the only thing they're doing that's innovative. The modulR case is really a system or platform which you customize to suit your needs. The first thing you do is pop it into a silicon protective shell, similar to other cases. But the back of the modulR case has four 'nubs' or buttons. You can attach an assortment of accessories using those buttons to turn your case into a desktop stand, a wall mount, or even a shoulder strap case.
Here are two photo related things I wanted to share that I really enjoy using with the pad. I also get a lot of use out of these. Besides using these for some of my personal images, I use it all the time for choosing and editing my blog photos.
The iPad Camera Connection Kit. $29.00
We already know about this as the product is not new, but I use the SD card reader frequently to pull in my images from our camera. I like that I can also delete the images from the memory card then and there after the import (if I want).
Skooba Design is a company in Rochester NY who designs various types of bags and gear for our computers and other tech. I was recently reading one of their press releases when I stumbled upon a product of theirs called the Techlife Netbook/iPad Messenger. I contacted them to see if I could test it out and they kindly sent me a loaner review. This bag was just recently introduced and is part of their tech life collection?
I received the Muzx Ultra earphones a day after I wrote a review of the V-Moda Vibrato, so I can’t write this review without comparing the Muzx Ultra with the V-Moda Vibrato.
I use my iPod Touch for all my media listening. I listen to podcasts all the time....more than I listen to music. I listen when I am driving, exercising, working outside, waiting for my wife while she is shopping.....like I said, all the time. My biggest frustration with every set of earbuds I tried, was that every time I took them out to talk with someone, all I could do was hold them in my hand or stuff them in my pocket. I would also have to pull out my iPod and pause it.
