Apple and House Of Marley officially join forces. "Double The Love" for charity.

image

As Bob Marley sings: "Give Thanks And Praises!" And indeed, today is a day for doing just that!

If you follow me online (Click HERE or HERE for more on House Of Marley), you likely already know that House Of Marley is one of my favorite developers of iOS accessories and gear out there. Taking the Honarable Robert Nesta Marley's timeless vision of love and "inity" his many offspring have formed various charitable foundations to spread that love, while consciously raising awareness, as well as funds for children in need. In particular, House Of Marley has created an outstanding line up of products to support us in our iOS enjoyment. Now House Of Marley and Apple have officially teamed up to raise money for the charity "Little Kids Rock" which helps support music education in "under-served" schools.

I'm all about companies that don't just make a great product for profit, but also make a great product while being exemplary of a new way of thinking; one that makes our environment and experiencing the enjoyment of nature and the great outdoors, higher priorities. It's easy to diconnect from Mother Earth if we aren't careful, and I appreciate a company that understands how tied in to our mobile devices we are, while at the same time, facillitating ways in which we can integrate our hi-tech, mobile devices into a lifestyle that takes greater advantage of outdoor activities and adventures.

New audio accessories are constantly evolving for all iOS devices, and starting earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), there were some great ones in action. Most prefer something compact, with good quality sound, and affordability. An integrated app is nice, but not crucial.

The Bose MIE2i wired mobile headset

are perfect examples of earbuds that are compact, have great sound quailty and are affordable. They are highly rated for both sound quality and comfort. They come with three sizes of StayHear silicon tips and an answer/end button on the inline microphone. The reviews say the quality of sound is tops. Note that these are standard earbuds - no noise-isolating to block unwanted sound.
A comparison of these earbuds and other great accessories are in the 2011 Best Gear article.
