The CES excercise plan

image

Covering CES is an exhausting job. With close to 2 million square feet of exhibition space at CES, seeing all the new gear requires a lot of walking. I never knew just how much walking however until this year when I used a fitbit one to measure my activity. Yesterday I walked over 8.5 miles and burned over 3000 calories. Below is a screenshot from fitbit.com.

The fitbit one ($99) syncs with your iPhone via bluetooth so that you can monitor your fitness goals.

The New iPad: Thoughts from the morning after (not really)

image

I have a tradition of waiting until the next day to share my thoughts on any Apple announcements in order to let the reality distortion field wear off. Sometimes it takes the cold, sobering light of morning to know how you really feel about something. However, Apple seems to be lacking the reality distortion field, so I am going to do something I never do - give my thoughts immediately after an announcement.

And the dominant feeling from the announcement today is (drum roll, please...) I miss Steve Jobs.
