How to Add an Email Account to the Mail App on an iPhone

The iPad and iPhone's Mail app allows users to add more than one email account from the same or different email providers. Read on to learn how to add email accounts from Gmail and Outlook, and more on your iPhone.

Now, let's learn how to add an email account on your iPhone.

  1. Open the Settings app.

  2. Tap Mail.​​​​

  3. Tap Accounts.

  4. Tap Add Account.

  5. Tap the email provider for the account you want to add and enter the login information.
  6. Tap Next; the Mail app will verify your account.
  7. Tap Save.

  8. Tap Other if your email provider is not listed, then enter your account information.

  9. Follow the on-screen directions until you’re returned to Mail Settings.
  10. Go back to Accounts, and you'll see the new email account included in the Accounts list.​​
