The first rule of computers and gaming consoles states that if nothing else can be done to fix it, restart the device and see if that makes a difference. 9 times out of 10, it does. I recently noticed, however, a difference of opinion on what constitutes as a ‘hard restart’ for an Apple device. Some articles will explain this as restoring your phone to factory settings, but that’s a little extreme and is usually your very last resort. Yet, it seems that every new device has minor bugs and freezes and eventually you may need to force your device to shutdown and reboot. Here’s how to do that.
