Invoxia Audioffice Goes Universal, with Lightning, 30pin, and USB Support

image

When I last wrote about Invoxia's AudiOffice, I had one complaint... its lack of Lightning support for modern iOS devices. Fortunately, its new device fixes this. I actually had another minor complaint—its name, which led me to joke that it was an accessory for Audi automobiles! In the latest version, the mixed-case name is gone, now simply called Audioffice ($299).

The newer Audioffice is an elegant accessory, with a companion app, invoxia (free) that turns your iPhone, iPad, or Android device into a full function conference room speakerphone. You also can use internal and alternative apps like FaceTime, Skype, etc.

Piel Frama Offers a Case Worthy of Your Apple iPad mini

image

When a product arrives in a package that looks this good, you wonder if what's inside could be worthy of its presentation. But with the iPad mini case from Piel Frama, there is no need to worry! The textured box, with its quality linen paper lining and gold text make for a beautiful presentation, and fortunately, the case inside is just as impressive.

uNu Doubles Your iPhone 5's Battery Life

image

Apple's Lightning connector offers a number of advantages, but its introduction slowed down the availability of compatible third party accessories since Apple had to approve them individually. One such accessory I'd enjoyed on my iPhone 4S was the uNu DX Battery Case. It effectively doubled the battery life of my iPhone, and I found it invaluable at trade shows such as CES. Thankfully, uNu just released a version for the iPhone 5, which I was able to test.

This Surface Charges Your iPhone Wirelessly

image

Powermat brings inductive charging to the masses through clever cases with integrated batteries, magnets, and chargers so you can simply place the device on one of its numerous chargers. Magnets help align the device and a distinctive beep tells you it's charging. I have been reporting on and following the tech company with great interest since its debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2009

Power Without Wires: BuquTech Magnetyze Charging System for iPhone

image

One day, our Apple iDevices will power themselves wirelessly, sucking in power from elements in the air. Until then, we are stuck with wires and being tethered to a traditional power source. But some vendors are making products that bridge the gap.

One such company is BuquTech, with its Magnetyze Charging System with Protective Case ($59.99). The Magentyze line is well designed and currently supports the iPhone 4, 4S, and promises a version for the iPhone 5 in the future.

If you change phones, or if multiple family members have different devices. You can mix and match and preserve your investment.

Let's Create! Pottery HD: Turn App Designs into Real-Life 3D Sculptures!

image

I've written about Sculpteo before, which lets you order custom 3D printed cases and accessories from its app. But its latest effort takes its capabilities a step further, which lets you create virtual works of art and then order real-life equivalents!

The app, Let's Create! Pottery HD ($4.99) is a partnership of Sculpteo with Infinite Dreams, letting you create artwork and generate it in 3D.

Let's Create! Pottery stands on its own as a fun, beautifully-designed app, which my kids have used for some time.

New and Updated Apps — Pulse, Album Share, Blitz Brigade

image

1. Pulse (Free)

My favorite news aggregate app just received a welcomed update this week. The new version of Pulse makes sharing articles even easier and simpler.

In the previous versions of the Pulse app, you could share with Facebook and Twitter as well as via email, one at a time. Now, however, after LinkedIn's recent purchase of Pulse, you have the added ability to share articles via LinkedIn, or with all three social networks with just a couple of taps. In addition to adding the sharing feature, the new update also allows for sharing via SMS. Now sharing via Pulse couldn't be easier or more comprehensive.

Tickets on Sale Tomorrow for Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference

image

Usually Apple announces its Worldwide Developers Conference ticket sale without warning— and sell out within an hour or so! But today Apple preannounced that tickets will go on sale worldwide beginning at 10 a.m. Pacific time, tomorrow, April 25. This should theoretically give everyone a chance to buy a ticket. I've been to the last two conferences, and it took quick fingers to get my tickets. Now, with advance warning, I hope Apple's servers are up to the task!
