Review: Speck PixelSkin iPad Case

image

This is my first Speck iPad case review. I’m very excited as I will also have a few others in the upcoming weeks to share with you also. The PixelSkin was named based on its design of it’s 5DPI pixel likeness. It’s a silicone case that is pretty thick. I have used silicone cases on my devices in the past and some were made very thin and felt like they could rip if you handled it wrong. Not the case here.

Geminus Genius iPad Case Review

Many moons ago when I first started my professional business career right after college, my dad gave me a beautiful briefcase to match my young executive suit and tie look. I still have that briefcase somewhere in my basement, but it's a relic from a bygone era, a hold-out from the Mad Men time period of his generation.

At #CES: DRY CASE Waterproof Cases for the iPhone and iPad

Now you can swim and scuba with your iDevice with products from Dry Case.  They provide waterproof, airtight, plastic, see-through cases that still allow your device to function as normal underwater. The cases are really amazing and easy to use. Simply put your device into the case, use the section bulb that comes with it to remove the air, and you are all set.

Latest OtterBox Cases at #CES

image

Many a blogger (here and elsewhere) has written glowingly of OtterBox cases. I am not currently drinking the Otter kool-aid, but am simpathetic since Otter has made tough mobile device cases from back before iPhone was even a gleam... (ok, maybe not that far back). Otter brought out their sterling line-up of high-impact cases for CES (both iPad and iPhone). No iPod cases, but well... We are an oft-overlooked group.

Trident releases the Kraken iPhone case

image

I am always on the lookout for the perfect case, and depending on the day's events, I might swap cases once or more during the day.  For example, this week I chaperoned for my daughter's Field Trip.  This was no visit to a quiet, cozy museum but rather an outdoor hike and 'Stream Study', in a muddy park.  And it was raining.  Fortunately, I had the Kraken case from Trident ($34.95).  While the Kraken is not billed as being waterproof, the case has rubber flaps that cover the various openings such as the dock connector and audio jack.  The camera and front glass are covered by clear durable film as well, making it dust resistant.

Candy Shell Casts Protective Spell

Since it’s release early to mid-summer, iPhone 4 has been one of the popular topics of the Apple circle.  With all its capabilities and advanced software/hardware, there seems to be a question looming amongst everyone’s minds: How are we to protect this precious device?

Stay classy, iPhone Life readers... with a case from Proporta!

image

I'm a classy guy, trust me.  Okay, at least I try to be.  And my latest case for the iPhone 4 helps!  It's from Proporta and it's made out of luxurious leather with, get this, a leather-encased aluminum cover.  The aluminum protects the iPhone screen, but the leather lining makes it soft to the touch.  It truly is "like butter."
