Call My Name App Review

image

The call my name app is a great new way to not only organize your contacts so they are easy to find and use, but also find the phone number of just about anyone or any business you want.  First, when you open up the app it will have all your contacts from your phone all loaded in and easy to find.  You can use the built in search function to quickly find people by their first name or last name, which makes it a lot easier than just scrolling through like you have to on the normal phone list.

Gameday, Inc. has presented gamers with a brand new adventure game goody in the App Store.  Help Purple is a cleverly constructed magical problem solving adventure that is chock-full of charm.

Oh My Nuts Game Review

image

Oh My Nuts is a game app which is similar in many ways to angry birds where you have to launch something across the screen attempting to hit an object.  In this game you are shooting a squirrel (out of the mouth of a pig) at a series of three stars with an acorn at the landing point.  For each level you need to shoot the squirrel at the correct angle to get all three stars and land in the proper place to collect the nut.

iPads in the Classroom

image

I've never worked on a Mac. I don't even own an iPhone. But one night four months ago, I borrowed an iPad from our Technology Department to see what all the fuss was about. As a baseball coach and sponsor of our school's broadcasting club, I thought the iPad might be useful for video analysis and editing. And it is. What I never expected was to find so many practical functions for my classroom. The iPad has changed the way I teach high school English, and there’s a pretty good chance it can change the way you teach, too.

Elf Defense: A Beautiful Tower Defense Game is now on sale! $.99

image

Jelly Oasis has graced the iTunes App Store with a tower defense game which boasts the extremely unremarkable title of Elf Defense.  In fact, the title is so low-key that after playing the game, I almost wonder if they’re trying to hide their light under a bushel, because nothing else about this little gem is unremarkable and now on sale!

Bam! Jr. App Review

image

If you've been looking for a game that will keep the kids occupied; then Bam! Jr. is what you have been looking for.  This particular game is fast paced, practicing colors, and really stimulates the brain with optical illusions.  In other words, you have to be pretty quick to win this game.  So, what is the overall object?

iAlbums for iPhone

image

The new iAlbums app was designed to bring back the experience of buying more than just a song when you purchase music.  In the past when you purchased music it would typically come with the CD (or tape or record) along with a bunch of information about the song and the artist.  Since people began using programs such as iTunes to download their music they no longer got any of these extras.  They just get the song to play in their mp3 player.  While the music is the primary reason people like purchasing songs, it is much more enjoyable when they get the full experience.
