Top Apps for Freelance Writers

There are three kinds of jobs: easy to obtain but with poor compensation, hard to obtain but with great compensation, and then there are writing jobs. Writing, as a profession, doesn't fit into either of the first two categories. It's both hard to master and difficult to secure steady work, and excluding the odd bestselling novelist, most writers don't strike it rich. Instead, it's a job about passion. Most writers write because they love to write. They can't imagine doing anything but writing. Sometimes that means foregoing the comfort of a 9-to-5 job with benefits in lieu of consistent freelance work.

Dragon Go App Review

image

If you use the computer software Dragon Nuance you will really enjoy Dragon Go.  It's a very simple to use application for the iphone.  Although, I have been using it on my ipad 2 at 2X.  The graphics aren't as good on the ipasd 2 but it does work.  They have added several new features such as Netflix, Web Searches, News, Music, and more.  If you can access it on the mobile web, Dragon Go can find it.  You simply tap the little red button and speak.  It does some processing and bam, there's what your looking for on the screen.  I have used it quite a bit and it has excellent accuracy.

Daedalus Touch App Review

image

There are many journal and note taking apps that are available; but Daedalus Touch definitely takes the demand for better features to a different level.  Luckily, the very first thing that is requested after downloading is an important tutorial.  It is recommended to thoroughly read and follow the tutorial because without it; you will not be aware of all the unique features that are offered.  The tutorial itself is very user friendly and clearly shows the use and purpose of the app.  With each page that is read; this system will ask for you to physically demonstrate the information being taught to insure that you are able to comply.  It’s a fail proof way to making anyone who buys the app capable of using it.

How I turned my iPhone/iPod 4 in to a texting demon with a slideout keyboard

Have you ever envied people who sit in the coffee shop with their thumbs blazing as they text away on their mobile devices? As an iPhone/iPad person, you have been out of luck if you want this form factor--until now.

Let me introduce you to the nifty, new NUU Mini keyboard. It is really meant for the iPhone, but I slipped my iPod touch 4 into it, and it works just fine. It has a little slop room, but you can shim it up if it really bothers you.
