To make wider inroads in Japan market and facilitate more users, Digiarty Software Inc., a thoughtful multimedia software developer, today officially released the long-awaited Japanese version of WinX DVD Ripper Platinum. This year's Consumer Electronics Show had its share of wireless audio components, several of which I included in iPhone Life's coverage of the event. I found several new Wi-Fi AirPlay compatible speakers. Of the lot, I finally received a Wren V5AP ($399) review unit last week. Of all the Wi-Fi speakers I’ve had the chance to review in recent years, I must say this one truly gives the Sonos Play line a run for its money.

App Review - Head in the Clouds

Warren Charles is a Los Angeles based rock quartet, which has released their latest album, Head in the Clouds.  In addition to the album; however, they also release this app which allows you to listen to all the different songs while taking part in a wide range of different activities.  They created quite an interesting app with a variety of different games and activities which are matched up to their songs.  This is really an interesting way to expand their audience and give people a fun way to listen to their new album.



XTZ EarPhone-12 Review

Digital Signal Processing, or DSP for short, is used by Apple and others to facilitate the transformation of audio in a dynamic fashion. This is often done to improve the playback based on the audio data that is being interpreted by the DSP engine. Swedish high-end audio manufacturer XTZ has developed a set of earphones to take advantage of real-time DSP reproduction. Read on to discover if XTZ has cracked the audio code with their EarPhone-12 product.



Amazon launches music store optimized for iPhone

You can now easily buy your music from Amazon directly via your iPhone or iPod touch, thanks to Amazon's web app announced last week. You simply point Safari or any other web browser at amazon.com/mp3, and a new site optimized for your device will appear. You can access Amazon's catalog of 22 million songs and take advantage of deals that are often better than you can find in the iTunes Store, such as albums for $5 and songs for $0.69.

IK Multimedia iRig HD - Rocks CES awards!

I was able to rock out loud at CES on the new iRig HD connected to an iPad (also connected to their new Bluetooth speaker--the iLoud), but that's not the point of this post. You can get more great CES coverage in the next issue of iPhoneLife (so if you haven't yet subscribed, hurry), and to say IK Multimedia rocked the show is putting it mildly. No other show vendor comes close to showcasing the latest (and coolest) iOS music gadgets like these guys! The iRig HD was a Best in Show Winner at CES--more booth pix follow with a PR announcement about the new HD model...
