iPad Presentations with Video and Sound

Dependency (www.dependencysoftware.com) has recently released a new version of their popular iOS app “Simple Presentations”. An easy to use app for creating and showing slide presentations right on your iOS device.

The app is still great for one-on-one presentations of text and images, and still very easy to use. And the new version now lets you add sound to any slide. There is also a new Video slide type which will play your video clip when you transition to the slide.

[Review] Incase continues their tradition of great quality products with the Compact Backpack.

Welcome to the latest in my review series. This time I’m taking on the new Incase Compact Backpack, putting it through my rugged testing and reporting back to you on my findings.

I really like the company Incase, I've reviewed their products in the past and have felt like they always make quality merchandise. So I was looking forward to trying out the latest Incase iDevice carrier, simply called the Compact Backpack.

This backpack definitely leans more towards the urban adventurer than the wilderness explorer (I'll also be reviewing some of the better rugged, heavier duty iDevice carrier bags too in the coming weeks so stay tuned.) but for the price and for the quality of craftsmanship for the student, business person or teacher to whom it's targeted, this pack is hard to beat!

Podio Brings App Execution to the iPad

I have been watching Podio for some time. Their platform allows end users to create personal and team applications from components. Although programmers can add value, Podio doesn’t require programming to create an application. I wasn’t the only one noticing them. Citrix, most well know as the maker of GoToMeeting, recently acquired Podio.

Drawing review roundup - Set Paint Go, Grafio, Illustrator and tips for an aging iPad

I recently reviewed a new stylus (see GoSmart review here), so figured I would swing back and repost on some of the drawing apps I used in the review. I also wanted to cover a unique "self-drawing" app created by Eric Hayes (an MIT math wiz and artist) called Set Paint Go. In this drawing roundup: Grafio, a very powerful diagramming and drawing toolset with a highly capable Lite version; Illustrator, another simple editor that can help you produce great looking graphics in like 2 seconds.
