Haven't done this in awhile, so maybe I should call this "What I played this quarter!". I had to post up on JetCar Stunts though, since it's the latest game I can't stop playing (it's not a new title--released in 2009). Crazy addictive time killer is what it should be called!. Featured in iTunes essential games, you can grab it here at $1.99. Expansion course packs also available. The concept is to race through 3D high-flying aerial stunt courses with your rocket powered jet car (who wouldn't want one of those)... More app news follows...
Probably have heard me blathering about my Sonos S5 wireless streaming stereo and how awesome it is. Well, what would you say if I told you there is a slick iPhone controller app for it, and now guess what?...There is one for iPad too (which is optimized for iPad's bigger screen)!
I went and grabbed the app update in the App store, and after starting it, noted that my zone indicated it needed an update. Both my Sonos ZoneBridge and S5 were updated in a few quick steps. In mere minutes, I was enjoying the newly added iheartradio... Be patient though. The update process does have to download files and restart the Sonos devices in your zones, and warns that you shoundn't stop the app during the process...Read on for more update screenshots, and feature details...
Well, my review time is almost up on the Sonos S5 ZonePlayer. I had a mixed experience with the setup, but I am impressed with the S5. Nothing I have seen does everything this player does.
In my last S5 review, I posted up a basic unbox video, and general features about the Sonos ZonePlayer. I've been a bit tied up at work lately, but finally got round to posting up on the setup of this compact, but amazing, streaming audio system. The setup was both easy and frustrating. The easy part is following the simple instructions, but the hard part was getting everything to work. I learned an important lesson about the importance of reading the manual. The Mirage convention center was quite the gadgety place to be last night, and sorry about not having good pix from the event, but I had some issues with my camera just before. Oh well, I swing back later and post more shots on the cool stuff I saw there, but wanted to get some word out on some of the cutting-edge stuff now.
