IOS APPS FOR SCHOOL

image

Many students fear starting school, whether its starting a new school or the transition from one grade to the next.  Students don't need any more stress than necessary when beginning school or switching to a different campus.  I have compiled a list of apps that will reduce the stress and make school more enjoyable for all students who have an IOS device. Lets face it if our kids aren't happy we aren't happy.  These applications can  benefit parents too.

Slacker and Pandora Radio apps let you be the DJ

SlackerRadioEditor's ChoiceSlacker (slacker.com) is a free service that lets you specify the music which interests you and create a personal station that streams that type of music. Like Pandora Radio (summer ’09 issue, page 62), Slacker Radio makes it easy for you to create your station. You can begin by simply naming your favorite song or artist.

Pandora Radio

Pandora Internet RadioThis iPhone app makes it easy to access the hugely popular Pandora Internet radio site. Once installed, open the app and create a Pandora account. (If you’ve already created an account on your desktop computer, you can log into it via your iPhone.) Then, simply tell Pandora your favorite song, recording artist, or composer. Pandora scans its database for similar music, based on a wide variety of attributes identified by the Music Genome Project (pandora.com/corporate/mgp). It uses this information to create a personalized “station” based on your favorite song.

Pandora Radio: Version 2.0

PandoraProbably the most popular free radio application on the App Store, Pandora allows you to create personalized radio stations based on your favorite musical group or genre.
