Tripwolf is a free app just released last week that gives you travel guides for over 500,000 destinations worldwide, combining info from professional travel guide publishers and user-contributed information. The app limits you to having three destinations on your iPhone at one time. And while the guides for major cities have a considerable amount of information, lesser destinations, such as Kansas City, Missouri, or Des Moines, Iowa, only have a basic info page and a listing of accommodations. You can access the guides online, or you can download them for offline access later.
Toki Tori and Knights Onrush are currently two of my favorite Chillingo games, as evidenced by my recent reviews (Toki Tori and Knights Onrush). Understandably, though, at a price point of $4.99 many people are hesitant to take the plunge regardless of glowing reviews. Chillingo has thankfully addressed that problem by providing lite versions of both applications. Here's what they have to say:
I thought for my inaugural blog post, I'd share with you my fav app right now. I wonder if there is an app out there that could decipher a person's personality by loading in their 5 most used apps? (If there isn't, wouldn't that be cool? Developers out there take note!) Then I wonder what personality trait I'm revealing by telling you that I am addicted to E! Online.
Postcards — how quaint. Yet if you're on some distant shore and you'd like to send a quick photo taken with your iPhone to someone who doesn't have e-mail, HazelMail Postcards is the ticket. The new app, launched yesterday, instantly turns your photo into a personalized postcard, and the prints the card, puts a stamp on it, and mails it for you.
Another fabulous WinMo application is now available for the iPhone. WorldMate Live, a travel service and utility that allows you to monitor flights, check weather, and plan and view online iteneraries through your phone! The basic app is free, and I downloaded it to my iPod Touch just to check it out (pretty stunted compared to the full version). It features weather, flight search, and a currency converter.
School is out for the summer, the kids are all home, & everyone is ... BORED. Now what? Just open up the Family Fun app, give it a shake & have some fun!
There's something to be said for developers that stray from the norm, and that something is "thank you". I've recently had the pleasure of playing Joyland Bounce from Gamesmith Studios, and despite the casual, no-die nature of the game - something unusual for a platform style game - I've been quite captivated. Some will find the lack of enemies and ultimate destruction a turn off, but its nice every once in a while to play something with a purpose that's also relaxing. Joyland Bounce fits the bill quite nice

How many times have you wanted to send someone contact information from your iPhone or iPod Touch, but you couldn’t do it? Instead, you had to manually type the information into an Email to send it or tell them the information over the phone. Big time waster!
