Apple's new Lightning dock connector has made traditional iPod docks obsolete, and since vendors haven't created Lightning dock stereos, yet, it's pretty clear that the future is using wireless technologies like AirPlay and Bluetooth to transmit audio.
Bob Marley is undeniably one of the most influential musical artists of our time. More than just a talented musician though, Bob Marley was a preacher of love and unity, equal rights and harmony between peoples. It is an honor to present to you, the first in my series on House Of Marley.
Rohan Marley, one of Bob Marley’s sons, actively spearheads the House Of Marley. Its roots lie in the timeless ethical principles of Rohan’s father: charity, sustainability, one love, not to mention appreciation for good music and sound!
House Of Marley is still a fledgling company (formed in 2010), but already, they are setting a standard of excellence and quality while holding to the highest standards of eco-integrity.
has done it again. The innovative developers of cool and unusual app-cessories for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices has a really impressive jukebox
that reminds you of the neon Wurlitzer models, but is much more affordable!
Apple's annual iTunes Festival has begun in London -- 30 days of free concents by top artists such as Usher, Jack White, Muse, and Alicia Keys. If you're not in London to attend the festival at the Roundhouse, you can watch all of the events via live streaming, or watch recordings after the concerts have taken place. Apple is making the shows available via streaminig to your desktop computer, to Apple TV, and via a free iTunes Festival app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
I was a little skeptical of the Audyssey Audio Dock Air when I first saw it, but thanks to some changes, it's now a great deal. The first change is a $100 discount from the $400 list price. The second change is Apple's pending micro dock which will make traditional docking speakers somewhat obsolete. Finally, the third change is AirPlay integration in Macs and PCs, in the latest verion of iTunes, and Mountain Lion.
Been a while since I posted up on Album Flow, but wanted to get word out there has been a release of a free version. You need to pay for premium features to customize or use playlists, appearance, etc. but the main cover flow feature that makes it mucho cool for iPad users is fully functional in the free version. Also a great alternative player for iPhone, so go grab it here...
With all the chatter in the blogosphere, about new products
soon to be released, and patent battles
being fought on all fronts in the courts of law, I think it's important to keep in mind the old expression: "You ain't seen nuthin' yet!" Truly, hasn't this week been a great example of that.
With the court cases bringing out details Apple would just as likely have preferred to keep private, we have been granted a rare insight into the evolution of products in the Apple iDevice chain, as well as having been given glimpses into what Apple had in mind, in prototype form
, two years ago.
That said, can you imagine what Cupertino has in store for us in say, 5 years? That's not that long. Think about it. Within 5 years, devices and functions that are now, only in prototype/patent form, may very well be seeing the light of day. It's not for nothing that Johny Ive
says that the products Apple is working on now, are some of the best, most exciting products Apple has ever invented!
