What do you do? I'm editor of Matador Life (matadorlife.com) and also run an art and education community website. We have an Art House based in Salta, Argentina, but the community is worldwide (cloudhead.org).


Which device do you use? The iPad. I'd love to get an iPhone.


How long have you had it? I've had the iPad for almost 6 months.

Deals.by is a free app that aggregates location-based deals, such as free items, coupons, daily deals, and more, and locates them on a map. The app currently has information for 18,000 cities. You can also try their website, Deals.by, to see if they serve your city. You can filter the deals by category, and a social networking component lets you rate and share deals with others.



Great Maine Food - a tourist's delight

Today I'd like to bring your attention to an iPad app called (quite appropriately) 'Great Maine Food.' As the name suggests, the app is a very powerful tool for finding a varitable smorgasbord of delectable delights when in Maine. However, the app doesn't stop at just listing good places to eat; instead, there is a wealth of useful information. Just check out some of the excellent features of the app (taken from the app's description):

Dock choices for your iPhone or iPad, are seemingly as numerous as apps. We have reviewed a ton of them here on the blogs or in the mag, and it's easy to get overwhelmed picking one. The Stem TimeCommand dock is "simple-smart" gear (coined that term just for this review) to charge your iOS device in the wee hours, and wake your butt in the AM (the simple part). It does the essentials as well as pump out crisp audio. It also has some very cool features (the smart part)...
