Not to negate the progress that has been made recently in the area of artificial intelligence vocal assistant apps, but relatively speaking, this technology, at a consumer level, is still in its infancy. Even Siri is technically still a BETA release. So we can expect to see some glitches and hang ups in all of the current alternatives for vocal assistant software. Lose your landline, lose MagicJack. Get OBi100 VoIP adapter for $39.99 and make FREE calls over the Internet forever. It kinda bugged me when MagicJack raised their rates by 10 bucks a year to a captive audience this year. Well, here's something you can do about it. Get an OBi100 unit.
The Obi100 phone adapter plugs into your router for Internet connectivity. Then it makes calls using an interface like Google Voice. Of course you have to configure it to your Google Voice account or another service such as Sipgate, so it's not quite plug and play. But that's not a big deal.

Forget 3D movies and television, the real future is 3D printing! It's not cheap, yet, but the folks at Sculpteo
are trying to pioneer a new way to create truly personalized items from ceramic and other materials.
Naturally, they have an app for that, and it supports the iPad as well. It lets you choose from an existing collection of designer-created 3D printable objects or create a personalized item like a mug with your child's silhouette built-in or an iPhone case with your custom message. I'm tempted to say the custom images or text are embossed, but that's technically inaccurate. The item is crafted in 3D with your edits. You have to see it to understand, and you can download the app for free and play with it.
Whether your schedule is a nightmare because of work, school, kids’ activities, additional obligations, or (heaven help you) all of the above, Yunasoft’snew App Store offering Awesome Calendar offers its help.
Considering how many apps are available in the Apple app store, not to mention how many are actually on my iPhone (close to 300), it's a bit daunting of a task to come up with only 10 apps to recommend here and now! There are simply so many amazing and award-winning apps out there and each is suited to an individual uniquely.
