Meet Crow. He's an average bird looking to score some points. Trouble is... these dang pipes keep getting in his way.

Not wanting to create another "Flappy App", Crow's Quest features a Freaky Mode where players need to avoid obstacles while collecting corn and egg baskets (scoring 1-3 points). Original artwork created by the game's developer, Tammy Coron, helps to create a rather "dark and scary" world in which Crow lives. Wait. Are those zombies in the background?

Please have a look at Crow's Quest. And, don't forget to see how you stack up against the other players in the Game Center.

P.S. Yes, there's a Flappy mode, but only because my kids made me do it. Ha Ha Ha!!

I am not a big game guy, never have been. I do like board games though, and when I got my first iPhone, I fell in love with Sudoku. It gave me the opportunity to make the time spent in line or in a waiting room fly by. It tuned my analytical skills and didn't raise my blood pressure.

Bingo - Pharoah's Way (Free)
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Most of us have at one point in our lives played Bingo, but it still carries the stigma of just being a game played at various veteran's halls across the country. This game from Starlight Interactive looks to change that perception. Pharoah's Way Bingo takes the game of Bingo and embeds it in the era of Ancient Egypt, giving it a luxurious and somewhat mystical twist.

If you read my recent article about freemium games it's possible you came away with the impression that I'm a freemium hater, which really couldn't be further from the truth. Though the current modality of freemium games could use a shot of ethics and integrity, there are nonetheless some awesome games out there that won't cost you a penny and even though they may offer plenty of in-app purchases, they don't limit your free-flowing enjoyment of the game.

This week’s Game Centered will make you feel like Halloween is just around the corner, instead of almost eight months away, and features three excellent and eerie entries in the freemium category.

Flappy Devil seeks to be the new star on the App Store

Talking Toys joins the most recent phenomenon launching Flappy Devil, game for iPhone and iPad already available on the App Store (FREE).

“Do you think you have what it takes to be the best?” Flappy Devil’s introduction is obviously a declaration of intent. This addictive game tests the players reflexes. Help the little red flying devil dodging any obstacles that get in his way.

Gameplay mechanic is easy: Tap the screen to make the demon fly through the scene and go the maximum distance you can. As if this were not enough, devil will have to gather coins, which will be used to continue the game when you hit the rocks just a few meters before beating your personal score.
